Took all of 5 minutes to install, and it fit just like a factory installation. Only con is that it doesn't have the sticker under the hood with all the information.

It fit perfect! The packaging was great - no dents or chips - good price - could not ask for more!

Very flimsy and not built straight. Also, it’s built different than factory so it doesn’t sit on the machine right.

I read that there were complaints of the strength of mounting posts were a problem. I compared these to my original hood, these were definitely weaker than the original. To strengthen these posts, I put small hose clamps around each one of these posts before I tightened the screws from the original mounting bracket. This trick seemed to increase the strength of the posts and made them much more sturdy. I hope that this helps because for the money, this is a great replacement for my cracked and broken John Deere 445 hood. New Review: The post mounts separated from the hood on the 1st day of cutting. I reattached them with an epoxy glue, I hope that they will hold as I placed the adhesive over the top of the post mounts. Besides adding hose clamps to these post mounts, I would place a strong epoxy (e.g. J-B Weld Original Cold Weld Epoxy) around the posts to strengthen them. The manufacturer only holds them in with a weak epoxy and they will separate from the hood with the first grass cutting vibration. I also changed my review from 5 stars to 3. This is a nice hood replacement for the money, but would be much better if they strengthened the post mounts.

When I got the hood it was scratched. I decided to try and install it anyway as I didn’t currently have a hood. Installed the hood it was so far off from square that there was no more adjustment to make it right. Went to remove the hood and in removing the hood bolts it snapped 3 of the plastic mounts clean off the hood. Complete waste of money and would not recommend to anyone

Great fit. Good performance

There was a time of adjusting & readjusting to get this hood to align and close evenly on both sides. As in the original hood, there are plastic “tubes” that bolts are screwed into. These tubes do not last long as they jar and break because they are plastic.. This replacement hood does not seem to be of a heavier grade of plastic as the original hood. It will do for a hood must be on my 455 mower!

Easy install but mounting posts vibrated loose in 15 minutes. Posts are poorly sheared to the hood. Appearance is great. It fits well. Quality needs improvement.
