The cord is coiled very tightly, so it's about a foot long when resting. However, I have a very tight space and it fits perfectly out of the way. And the connection seems really good for now. If you have to move around with your handset, this probably isn't the cord for you. But if you only use the phone sitting right next to you, then it's golden.

I ordered this for our medical office and really good quality. Dosen't curl up and get tangled up.

I bought this cord to use with a Cortelco Kellogg 2500 Desk Mount Phone With Telephony Cords Rd with Vol Cntrl and it works fine. It has the standard modular handset connectors and should work with any other phone with standard modular handset connectors.Another reviewer commented that the cord is too short. I believe that the 12 feet refers to the length of wire before being coiled. It will not be practical to stretch it to 12 feet. This cord easily stretches to 6 feet without pulling the phone off my desk. It will stretch to at least 8 feet but pulls the phone across the desk. If you need a cord that will stretch over 12 feet, get the 25 foot cord.

Wow! Of all the cords I’ve ever bought, this is the cordiest. I mean one end clipped beautifully into the handset of my 1989 desktop phone and wouldn’t you know, the other end slipped ever so gracefully into the base sitting on the desk. It fits like a glove! And the sound! Holy cow, I can hear other people and they can hear me! It’s a miracle! Everyone should own at least five of these cords. The bounciness of the coil is fun and the shade of beige is so beautiful! The color reminds me of my mother’s mashed potatoes I enjoyed so much as a child. I tell everyone I know about this cord and at least 35 of them have purchased their own.

6' is misleading. The coiled cord is 10" and lies very neatly beside the phone. However, when you try to stretch it, at 33" it becomes hard to pull and at less than 4' it pulls the phone off the table. The beige colour is exactly what I wanted - the length is not. Very disappointing!
