Lancoon Solar Powered Air Pump Kit, 2.5W Solar Panel, Air Pump, Air Pipes and Aeration Stones for Garden Fishing Pond

This is the second faulty replacement solar pump I have had to return to Amazon & it is very frustrating. They have back up lithium batteries which work once the sun goes down but on both of these occasions, they did not work. I am saddened to think because of this fault, my fish may well die because of lack of oxygen. Come on Lacoon, get you act together, I believe these to be decent solar pumps, WHEN THEY ARE WORKING. Simple to assemble and install. The moment I joined it up and clicked on the power the pump came to life. It took a little jigging to get the stones into the right place in the pond and to smooth out the kinks in the tubes but those little stone started bubbling away as soon as they were dropped into the water.I am a little dubious about the weatherproof-ness so I have wrapped the pump in the bubble wrap and have angled it downwards, ensuring the cable also runs down before its upward journey to the solar panel. I’m hoping that’s enough!

Connections clip on easily, pump is solid, and weights are also easy to fit. However the pump does t pump much air with both air Stones on, so limited it to just 1. This improves the air, but it's hardly any air being blown. Also it rests for 10 seconds every 30 seconds. So it's intermittent. I would recommend for a fish tank, but not a pond.

We were having serious problems with an under oxygenated pond during early summer. We had a couple of dead fish and it wasn't looking good. We bought this pump to try and from day one it worked fine. We split the tube with the connector and positioned both air stones at opposite ends of the pond. Play around with the depth of the stones for maximum bubbles. During the sunny days you get 10 seconds on and 10 off. During dull days and winter you get a little blast then 10secs off. But during winter oxygen isn't really an issue. Best of all, throughout December's cold snap and frozen pond the little pump did enough that there was during daylight hours always two small ice free patches. I can't rate out airpump enough, it's so far lasted 7 months though extreme heat and extreme cold. The pump itself is under a Bush, in shade with protection from the rain, we don't know if this has helped. We now have many healthy fish. FYI our pond is About five feet long, 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep at the deepest. Thank you

Excellent product. Has kept 'bubbling' all through the winter even on days when there has been little or no sun. Simple to install and easy to assemble. Would highly recommend for a small pond
