Soft touch, nice feel.
I wish they sold the power, volume button, and the game slot parts separately. Since the didn't I had to get the whole thing. 😅Nonetheless, they feel very nice and soft touch like the joycons, and it adds more personality to the switch. Now it is fully customized.

Looks Great! High skill ceiling
This has to be the most technical kind work I've done on any of my electronics, but it is so worth it; especially since Nintendo rarely comes out with different color front plates. Make sure you have all the necessary tools before attempting and I would recommend sticking to the guide on ifixit.comThe only down side I would have to say is that it uses extreme rates soft touch kind of paint/coat (convinced it's just spray paint) which on the joycon shells tend to smudge or smear after the soft touch coat wears off. I'm hoping that because this is on the front it wont experience the same fate, but only time will tell.

Great Product, level 50 Tech required
The quality is amazing, I just need to find someone else with a bit more expertise to install it for me. I can do the backplate and joycons all day, but the front plastic panel is definitely the next level above what I’m comfortable working in. Also probably a good idea to get some fresh thermal paste once you remove the heat shield and see that crusty old paste

It’s nice just the installation is hard
This isn’t easy to install unlike the back shell the front shell is directly attached to the screen and you need to heat up the screen and then pull it off, I didn’t have an air drier or heat gun to do so, so I had to figure out another way luckily I managed to pull it off but it snapped one of the lcd screen cables so I had to order a new lcd screen for the switch. But now since I put everything back together I’m loving it and it was pretty fun to install

Looks great but takes a lot of work
I recommend this if you're looking to do the mod but don't go in not knowing what the process is. Go watch their guide on the front replacement before purchasing. It's a very in depth long process and involves taking a heat gun to the Switch's screen to loosen the glue behind it. Installation for this is not for the faint of heart. You should also have additional items not included like replacement thermal paste. Don't destroy the fan's foam tape when removing it since you'll be reusing it.

A lot of complicated work
I understand why this piece isn't included in full sets. The back plate is so easy to swap out. To swap out this thin front plate, you have to disassemble the entire switch. I ran into a problem when unscrewing the metal side pieces that the joycons lock into. I have my own screwdriver set and used a PH000 on these. They were all tough, wanting to strip, but i was careful to take my time and use a lot of pressure. All of these came out without too much worry, except for the top screw on each of the sides. They are in there so tightly that they will not come out and have no stripped or are about to strip the philips head out. Such a foolish move to use phillips head connections instead of hex, and they should not be screwed in this tightly in the first place. Now I've had to spend $30 on a precision screw extractor set, that will hopefully be here in a few days, and will hopefully work. I honestly don't know what to do if it doesn't get these out. There is no way I am putting all of this back together without getting this front plate on my switch. All of the other mods are easy for real, but think twice about this nice finishing touch before you attempt it. It has been a headache compared to replacing joycon and pro con shells. The back plate is literally the easiest piece to swap out. This is 10x harder than those.

Best thing to do if u Nintendo switch had smoke and ash damage
My switch was looking crap since it was in fire recently. And I ordered both the front plate and the backplate including the shells. I should’ve done this a long time ago but better late than ever.

Quality replacement shell and fast shipping
It arrived faster then expected and came with everything needed to do the replacement. This isn't a project for some one with out experience as there is a lot of small parts that can easily get broken, taking the screen off is no easy task but can be accomplished with a little patience and a heat gun or hair dryer ( I used a hair dryer so it took longer, about an to an hour and a half). Also the shell itself is on the soft side and I bentine while removing from the packaging, fortunately I was able to remove the stress mark with my hair dryer and it looked good as new. All in all prety happy with the shell. As always eXtremeRate delivers a quality product.

High quality mod-job kit!
The switch is passing down from our 13.5 year old boy to our 4.5 year old girl for Xmas. He didn’t look after it too well and had a lot of scratches and his left joy con was drifting, the joy cons also weren’t securing to the switch as strong as they used to. Came across ExtremeRate products on Amazon and realised I would be able to do a complete re-shelling and fix up of the console to make it more girly too.I have little to no experience when it comes to things like this but I have never been too afraid to open things up and give things a try.First of all, I replaced the drifting joy stick, then I swapped out the plastic clips for metal ones before starting on re-shelling the joy cons themselves. It look a little bit of examining and playing about to figure out how it comes apart and goes back together, but it was not overly complex. Then came the big job, the console itself. The new case came with a back shell but no front so I opted for white front shell to contrast the rear shell and compliment some of the white features of the new shell. I initially took apart the entire console, bit for bit, mapping out the screws as I went along. I ensured I was meticulous and slow. After doing that I realised that I could have just separated the digitiser screen from the front shell to expose the screws and not dismantle it all.I made I few little mistakes putting it back together, nothing too worrying, so ended up closing and re-opening the console a few times but after some persistence and care I got there. The trickiest part was removing the digitiser, it’s pretty well stuck down and I also didn’t use heat to soften it up but I was gentle and careful.I think the end results speak for itself. It looks amazing and has added a whole new life to a 4 year old console. The warranty is long gone so there was no risk of losing that anyway. The replacement parts are all high quality, even down to the tiniest of screws.I have now ordered some Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to top up the thermal paste on the heat sink (as it was starting to look a little dried up) just to be sure and keep the console as cool as possible, so one more open up and job done in time for Xmas.Would highly recommend these products! If I can do it, you can too.
