I use these to consolidate my cat's pills and supplements. They are a great value for the price and work really well. They are fairly thin, and sensitive to moisture so they will get a little sticky and start to melt if placed on a damp surface, but that also is reassuring because I am confident they dissolve quickly after medication administration. Size 3 is the largest I would use for my cat, Size 2 has also worked well for us. I would recommend applying a little coconut oil or ghee on the outside of the capsules when giving them so that they can be swallowed easily and go all the way down without getting stuck.

I used these to give my kitty meds when he was sick and needed five different pills/tablets at once. Absolutely a life saver, and can fit quite a few small pieces inside. I still have some months later incase they are needed again, and the bag does have a seal.

These capsules are exactly as described. They came in a sealed package with no broken ones. They work perfectly for my needs. Very happy with purchase.

I use these for my cat’s liquid medication, and the opaque ones work really well (specifically the blue and white ones)! I’ve even batched these up to a week in advance, and I haven’t had issues with them dissolving or popping open in that time. However! The clear ones will not properly seal if you’re using liquids. I made the mistake one time switching to the orange and clear, and they kept popping open and leaking the meds everywhere. You also have to be careful to make sure that they don’t touch any water or water based meds/supplements, or else they start to dissolve and become unusable within seconds. This applies to all colors and types.

When my bestest boy was diagnosed with advanced heart disease and put on multiple medications, I was at a loss on how to get all the pills into a cat each day. We tried treats, hiding them in food, compounded liquids, everything. We were completely stressed out. But finally I tried putting the pills into these capsules and it was a game changer! He receives one of these capsules twice a day that contain four different medications between them. I use a tiny bit of unsalted butter to coat the cap and make it slippery, poke it in his throat, close his mouth, kiss him on the nose — and like magic, it goes down — followed by a treat. This has made our medication times SO much less stressful, easy in fact, and in nearly 5 months of treatment we haven't missed a single dose.

I have a cat who needs 1/4 of a 250mg Metronidazole tablet 2x per day to treat IBD. The tablet is very crumbly, so rarely splits evenly, even with a good pill cutter. According to both my veterinarian and my cat, the pill is very bitter. These gelatin capsules slide ride down my cat’s throat, and it is easier for me to end up with capsules with closer to equal doses. The Amazon description pages of the various capsule sizes is terrific. Dimensions and photos are shown, as well as a chart stating that volume of medication each capsule holds. Capsule sizes are like wire; the higher the number the smaller the capsule. I recommend starting with a 100 capsule pack to check for size.

My 6 year old is getting ready for a bone marrow transplant and the only way we can get meds in her is by breaking down the adult size capsules and funneling into these size 3 capsules. The quality is excellent and these are affordable.

The product is as described. However, the bag was short 50 capsules. Instead of the full 500 capsules, it was actually 450 capsules. Bummer.
