It fits, works, and charges in my old Tivoli radio perfectly.

Although batteries for these Tivoli personal portables are rechargeable, they're good for only 5-8 years. This is the 3rd one for my 15-year-old radio, and it's heavier than my last one (the one with the green plastic covering) and has better power and storage specifications. Consequently, I'm counting on it for stronger and longer performance than the last one. This one, moreover, carries the designation "iPal Radio" on its cover, which is additional insurance of a "perfect fit."Introduced shortly into the new millennium, Tivoli iPal radios were unique in terms of size and audio quality. But to remain competitive, the company has lowered the price and added BlueTooth connectivity to current models. I discovered shortly after purchase that claims about the radio's usefulness out-of-doors are exaggerated. It simply doesn't have the power to be heard more than several feet from the speaker. Still, it's handy around the house, and my wife prefers it to the heavier wired Tivoli radios we have in the bathroom and bedroom.My battery arrived fully charged, so if your radio's problem is due not to the battery but to its AC charging cord, you'll have to wait until the battery requires charging. If it doesn't charge, Amazon carries AC chargers for the Tivoli iPal and Pal radios for about $15. (I had several extra AC chargers for other devices, one of which fit into the receptacle on the iPal.)Be careful not to strip the two screws holding on the battery cover (a small Phillips is required) and, if the radio has been sitting for a few years, be prepared to pull out the cover with a sharp, thin blade once you've removed the screws. (I doubt I'll be installing a 4th battery because the screw heads are already somewhat stripped and the tuner is acquiring dust along with sporadic static. Rather than take the radio apart, I'll be satisfied, after 30 years of service, to dispose of this iPal and possibly replace it with the $80 Sangean model that flatters the iPal by its close approximation of it.

The bay fit nicely into the Pal battery holder and was easy to install. We'll see how long it lasts. Passing on advice from an earlier supplier: to prolong battery life, when using the Pal on battery, leave it off the charger until the charge runs out. Don't plug is back in immediately. This seems to hav helped in the past.

My battery lasted only 700 mAh, compared to the promised 2200 mAh, and failed to hold a charge completely after only 17 months.

Replaced OEM NiMH battery pack in my 2005 Tivoli PAL radio which was rated at 1400 mAh. New battery runs my radio "all day". Old battery, when new, maybe lasted 6 hrs.Melasta battery pack was ever so slightly larger than original battery pack but still fit. I just had to press the lid a little to compress the foam rubber inside the lid. Connector matches existing connector from 2005 exactly.NiMH battery technology has improved in the last 15 years so I expect the Melasta replacement pack to last many years. However, NiMH batteries will degrade over many years, even if they are not discharged and recharged much.

Needed battery for my radio and this worked. Had for only 3 days. So far so good.

Great so far. Easy to install in my older PAL radio. I've owned the PAL for probably 14 or 15 years and this was an excellent replacement rechargeable battery.
