Great Scale
I was confused at first, and then I re-read the instructions and I love it.

3/5 for the money, not reliable on uneven flooring.
The reason I started shopping for a new scale was to find something that could give me an accurate weight no matter how uneven/unlevel my flooring is. You might say this is impossible, and normally I would agree with you. HOWEVER, Salter themselves makes such a scale! Model 9049 BK3R. That model appears to be a lower end model than this one, and yet while that model works reliably on uneven flooring, somehow this one does not. WHAT. I love that this scale has backlighting, and takes larger AAA batteries. But it gives me a different weight depending on where I place it on the floor, and that makes this no better than the $20 scale I'm replacing. I *wish* this had the reliability of their "inferior" model 9049 BK3R, but with this scales nicer features.
