Rod Stewart and the Faces, live at the Fillmore West on October 28th 1970 Following the February 1970 release of their classic debut album, The Faces gigged far and wide, their rowdy and raucous style earning a devoted following. This classic performance from the Fillmore West, San Francisco, CA on October 28th 1970, was originally broadcast on KFOG-FM and finds them at their infectious best, on a selection of classics culled both from their catalogue and from Rod Stewart’s solo work. Sounds like cheap bootleg copy, half the time can’t understand the lyrics.

Great live album!
The Faces are my favourite band of all time, when they were performing some great blues stuff and before Rod Stewart went solo. This live recording captures the band at the height of their success and brings back happy memories of seeing them in concert back in the 1970s.

Schönes Boxset
Ich finde das Boxset gelungen. Das Gemeckere wegen der Soundqualität ist für mich kaum nachvollziehbar. Der Sound spielt vielleicht nicht in der obersten Liga mit, aber man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass die Aufnahmen schon über 50 Jahre alt sind.

gute Songs, miserabler Ton
Mitte der 70er Jahre gab es mal eine Live-LP von den Faces mit Rod Stewart: "Coast to coast". War ein toller Livemitschnitt in ansprechender Soundqualität - der aber nie auf CD veröffentlich wurde. Deshalb freute mich dieser neue Livemitschnitt von 1970. Aber wie groß war die Enttäsuchung beim Hören: dünne, blecherne Soundqualität ohne wirkliche Bässe und Mitten - dazu eine Band, die unispiriert spielt und ein Sänger, der naja, versucht etwas zu retten...Vom Kauf rate ich ab.
