I understand why restaurants provide dull knives; they buy into the myth that dull knives are safer. These knives are a good solution to trying to cut a nice piece of steak (or even vegetables) with a butter spreader. They are compact, easy to open *and close,* and they work well.

I bought these as gifts. They were perfect. We hate the dull steak knives we are given at Texas steakhouses. These fit perfectly in my purse. I never go to dinner without them.

This knife is perfect for use at restaurants whose steak knives won't cut butter (most of them locally). Very sharp at the top end, cuts well, and easy to open, close, and clean.

They're high quality, they look nice, they feel nice, and I get so incredibly smug when I walk into a steak house with my own knife. The satisfaction from clicking it open is well worth the price, which is very low at only $15 per knife, which is less than a hamburger.If you're a knife nerd, the idea of a sharp edge on a ceramic plate might send shivers up your spine, but you get used to it after you feel the pure joy of slicing mid-rare ribeye with one of these. I use a steel after every use and they're as good as new.

Novelty item for sure. But wow, no matter where you find your favorite steak, chop or prime rib, this knife does just what is says it does. Slice, gracefully and with sharpness. When you want to enjoy your steak. Nicely done.

I’ve bought this product a few times already. Kai seem very good. I’ll buy again and again as long as the prices don’t go krazy.

I have loved my Shun knifes and when I saw that Kai(A Shun Company) had these travel friendly steak knives I had to have them. The first set came and immediately were swiped for the camping cook set. I ordered a 2nd set and they immediately disappeared. Now I am on my fourth set I’m tempted to install a tracking device so I know which family member swiped them. I now know what everyone will be getting in their stockings next Christmas.
