Works good and shoots a lot of steam is what I wanted. It is very heavy, but that means a better press. Would recommend if a heavy iron is not an issue.

This iron definitely was already returned. The manufacturer's box was sloppily tapped indicating it was previously opened and returned. It misses the anti-drip protection, so it leeks.

Heats quickly, adequate amount of steam. Gets the job done quickly.

Has the Hamilton Beech brand fallen this far that brand new items don't work? I bought it because it was a familiar brand. The vertical steam button didn't work and,because it was a gift, we didn't open it right away. So we're stuck with a broken product that doesn't give vertical steam or instant steam as advertised. Disappointing. Don't take a chance on a product that may not be 100% functional. This is not a great iron and probably no longer a great company. It steams o.k. when horizontal, but the Rowenta we just got rid of for this was beautiful and did it all. I regret this purchase. Caveat emptor.

The first time I used it, it heated too much. Where you grip the iron, underneath the handle got too hot for my fingers to keep touching it. The water filling hole leaks.Second time I used it, it barely heated up and then stopped heating.Since I was in the UK, I didn't use it right away because I didn't realize it had an American plug so I had to wait until I bought an adapter. Now the time ran out to return it!DO NOT BUY THIS IRON!
