Product Description Piper (Combs) and Phoebe (Milano), now with younger half-sister Paige (McGowan) up to speed with her powers, more or less, and "The Power of Three" all living under one roof at the Halliwell manor, are trying to get their respective personal lives in order. All the while, continuing to battle the worst evils that come their way. Oldest sister Piper and her husband Leo (Krause), the siblings' whitelighter guardian angel, are thrilled at the prospect of the impending birth of their child. Yet, dealing with a normal pregnancy is tough enough, but factoring in their unborn baby's use of her magical powers gives Piper cause for concern. Although adjusting to complexities of being pregnant and fighting evil, Piper has the added responsibility of looking out for her younger sisters and still running the Halliwell's successful nightclub P3. It's become a lot to handle coupled with possessing the trio's strongest power exploding an object or demon at will in addition to the power of freezing, but Piper has proved she's more than capable of carrying the burden. While middle sister Phoebe's career is on the rise, the same can't be said of her romantic life. Recently employed as a popular gossip columnist at a local newspaper, she's gained notoriety for her work, but she's trying to finalize her divorce from Cole (McMahon), the part demon/part human who became "The Source" (the greatest of all evil) and was vanquished, only to cling to life because of his love for Phoebe. Finally over her love for Cole, she's ready to get on with her life without him, unfortunately, after resurrecting himself, he's determined to prove his love for her by trying to do good. Phoebe's martial arts skills, her ability to levitate, the power of premonitions and her skill at making potions have helped vanquish many a demon. Youngest sister Paige has gone through quite a change in the past year with learning of her true heritage, then becoming adept at utilizing her powers of orbing herself and objects at will and getting used to having a family again. Raised by adoptive parents who died while she was still in high school, Paige was used to being a loner, but now she's proved to her sisters that she's up to the task of being one-third of the Power of Three. When it comes to good old fashioned police help, Inspector Darryl Morris (Dorian Gregory) is always there when the sisters need some aide or advice. As "The Charmed Ones," the three most powerful good witches to ever exist, the Halliwell sisters defeated "The Source" but now face the existence of powerful evils still prevalent and looking to defeat them. As Piper, Phoebe and Paige continue to wage war against all evil, they seek to strengthen their sisterly bond as they get closer to fulfilling their destiny. .com Sexy, silly, sardonic, somber: the fifth season of Charmed finds the Charmed Ones--sisters Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Paige (Rose McGowan)--on an emotional roller coaster. Yet they're also in a fairly comfortable groove with one another. McGowan, who joined the cast in year 4 (see Charmed: The Complete Fourth Season) as a replacement for Shannen Doherty, is now a perfect fit, turning Paige into a self-deprecating, uber-witch whose clipped dialogue meshes beautifully with Milano's neurotic phrasing and Combs' no-nonsense bark. Season 5 ties up a lot of loose ends, heralds some major shifts in the show's running narrative, and ushers in a couple of new characters. One of the latter is Piper's baby by husband Leo (Brian Krause), the angelic Whitelighter whose role as an emissary of the heavenly Elders changes dramatically in the two-part finale, "Oh, My Goddess!" Before that happens, however, Phoebe must contend with the reappearance of her husband, the demon Cole (Julian McMahon), who is determined to win her back by proving his evil nature is under control. As usual, all the sisters must use the Power of Three to protect a number of vulnerable mortals, and even some immortals. Among these are a mermaid whose immortality is sought by a greedy demon, several wood nymphs frolicking in the streets of San Francisco, and married men targeted by a hot Siren with a killer kiss. Season highlights include "Happily Ever After," in which characters from multiple fairy tales come to life; "Lucky Charmed," a fun story introducing a demon-vanquishing Leprechaun; and "Sense and Sense Ability," a clever drama in which Phoebe goes deaf, Piper becomes blind, and Paige turns mute as the result of a wicked witch's spell. The aforementioned finale sees all three sisters officially acknowledged as the goddesses they truly are. But it also introduces a new, major character, Chris (Drew Fuller), who seems benevolent but may very well be a wolf in sheep's clothing. We shall see. --Tom Keogh

This Series Gave Me Hope!
Charmed gave me hope. I was at a very 'dark' time in my life. My only brother had passed away. I was very depressed, and 'trapped' in addiction. I can remember the only times I would feel 'hope' would be watching Charmed episodes. (I have 7 years of sobriety now; whenever I'm asked to speak, I always talk about this time in my life, and I always mention how 'Charmed' gave me a sense of hope -- it was the only connection to a Higher Power that I had. I could see a HP at work throughout each episode. If that makes sense to you, then 'you're one of us'. If it doesn't, then watch Charmed, and be entertained!) :) Even though Charmed is in re-runs on f/x twice a day, I still would recommend getting all the seasons on disk! Nothing like sitting home on a rainy day, and 'binge watching' Charmed! I loved the series. This season is probably one of my favorites. The 2-part season finale, "Oh My Goddess" has to be my most favorite Charmed episode -- ever!!!!! Can't say enough about it.

I bought the entire Charmed series on Amazon and it's worth every single penny if for no other reason than I no longer have to suffer through the endless WE commercials on a daily basis! I can't even tell you how thrilling it is not to be force-fed BRIDEZILLA commercials and other manner of NONSENSE they force us to watch.I love having the Charmed library. I can flip between seasons whenever I want. I can choose a season and watch for hours at a time. If I am in the mood for Prue I have 3 seasons to watch. If I want to see the Cole years I have four seasons to flip through. If there are particular episodes I didn't like I just skip them.It is WONDERFUL. I encourage everyone to get this library of Charmed episodes. It is not pricey if you buy used and it is worth it alone just not having to be forced to watch TRASH commercials on cable.

Charmed season 5
This is one of my favoriate seasons! One reason is because I remember watching this season when it came on the WB and my friends and I would watch it. They called me Piper because I act so much like her. Plus, we waited for the antipication for piper's baby to be born. I like many of the stories in this season. Especially the few episodes before piper gives birth. They are funny and creative. It is sad when Cole is vanquished. I am watching season 4 right now and I am sitting here wishing he didn't turn into the source. But they had to come up with something I guess. I also hate the fact that Piper and Leo are forced to be apart because he became an elder in the end. Those points did disappoint, but for the most part, it's a very good season!

I rarely watch TV so I missed the entire Charmed series when it originally aired. I recently purchased the entire series in the Book of Shadows edition. I love the Book of Shadows packaging but the packaging has the negative side effect of damaging a disc or two. Season 5 was particularly damaged so I purchased the season separately for “clean” copies. I cannot say yet which is my favorite season but I can say that each season is off the charts good and each season seems to be better than the one before. The show engages my emotions at every level, I laugh, I cry, I am filled with awe and wonder. I cannot recommend a television series more highly. Charmed is the best.

Great season, excellent show!!
I loved all the Charmed seasons. It was a great show. I never had the chance to watch them when they originally aired, but with the great price per season I bought them all and just finished watching the complete series. Loved every minuet. Would recommend

My favourite season yet!
Well I know it seems to be controversial but this is my favourite season so far. It's great to see Rose Macgowen really comming into her own, she is really refreshing from Shannon Doherty and there is a much more even dynamic to the show. We see Piper becoming more motherly which is really important for later series as it becomes a crucial drive for her. As much as we will all miss Cole - ENOUGH ALL READY! The Cole/Pheobe story line went on for a while and it is great to see Alyssa Milano freed up for the next season, this isn't her strongest performance. I think this season is really fun and lively and a great exploration of the characters. It is a prelude for a kick into high gear in six and seven, leaving the Chris and Avatar storylines a mystery at this point. Keep this in mind and I think you will really enjoy it. Centennial Charmed is my favourite episode in this season, not only does it set the tone for the rest of the season and the next but it's the one which I think officialy made Paige my favourite sister.
