Well made lyre for a good price.
The lyre came in perfect condition. Right out of the packaging I was able to start tuning and strumming to get the strings stretched. Thanks to the notes being engraved along the top, it took almost no time to start plucking out a song. It took about a week for the strings to stretch and start holding the tuning, but I get the feeling that would be different if you played it more so they stretched sooner. The color is beautiful and I love how comfortable it is to hold and set in my lap. It is totally possible to play with two hands although the outermost strings might be a little tough to pluck from the back.

Fun and Versatile
After reading so many reviews about this and similar harps, I was concerned about tuning. But tuning has not been an issue. It takes an attentive ear, and a fine touch. It DID take a couple of times, and some playing, to stretch out the strings... but that is normal for stringied things. Sweet tone, very playable, and I recommend this instrument from Ladyaccess. (Even though I am not a lady!) :-)

Small, wonderful sounding, and fairly easy to play. Great for beginners!
Everything that is needed is included with this Lyre kit, even sample songs. The only thing missing is patience. The strings need retuned on any Lyre, due to the tuning pegs embedded into the wood. Often the initial process takes at least a week, as the strings are strung, pressure is applied, and the pegs can slowly unwind - this is natural. If the tuning pegs keep doing this after a week or so, research online about fixes to such. The fault is not of the Lyre, as each is meticulously handcrafted. For a tuner, I suggest getting a D'Addario NS Micro Violin Tuner (ASIN B00L1LL7DQ) as it is the only tuner with the width adjustment to fit onto most Lyre necks. This is the best Lyre tuner on the market.Have often fallen asleep playing this wonderfully handcrafted LadyAcces 10 string Lyre, which is in the harp family. From research and popular forum groups, this particular is a left-handed version which is harder to find. This does not mean a right-handed person cannot play, it is the direction of the strings that dictates a left or right handed Lyre. Was so impressed with this Lyre that I bought a 19 stringed version for more notes to play. But 10 is easy enough to play most songs. Was when I wanted more lows and highs that I bought another. Many Lyre players have several Lyres, each has their own niche. This LadyAccess got me interested. There are a low of useful information online on how to play and properly tune a Lyre. This one arrived with the strings already attached... then I came home to find one broke. Best to either hand your Lyre on the wall securely, or lay flat over something like the top of a shelf. Did find it difficult to find suitable string replacements for a 10 string Lyre as opposed to a 19 stringed version. When using the tuners, get within the range and s-l-o-w-l-y turn the tuner key. The s-l-i-g-h-t-e-s-t movement makes a world of difference. This is not a guitar, so be gentle with it and it will last years. The resonance is amazing. As I have stated, have fallen asleep playing it. Takes patience to learn to play. Take your time to enjoy the fundamentals, and then go amaze your friends. Take your Lyre to a flower garden and play, you will be amazed at the attention of the gentle harmonies playing will attract others, even other Lyre players.Enjoy! Highly recommended Lyre.

Tuning Pegs Do Not HOld
I am an experienced string musician so I am aware that these strings need to take several weeks to acclimate and stretch before they will hold in tune. However, nearly all of the tuning pegs on this instrument slip and I waited months for the instrument to stabilize in the weather between cross country moves from a cool humid location to a hot humid location.I will have to remove the pegs and wood-fill and refit them for this instrument to work, since I cannot find cog insert tuners.

Cheap quality, nice instrument
It's pretty and functional. It comes with a booklet but it wasn't translated very well and a lot of the stuff it still in Chinese or doesn't make sense
