Ameriwood Home Carson TV Stand for TVs up to 50", Black (1195496PCOM)

I'm extremely pleased with this product. I'm using it as a table for a practice guitar amplifier and to store associated instrument needs. This unit is sturdy and looks much more expensive than my expectations for particle board furniture.Assembly took 90 minutes (I'm experienced in assembling furniture). The directions were diagram only and easy to follow. The parts were well labeled and each of the hardware components were in separate bags. A few learnings and pro-tips:1. Use both large and small-sized Phillips screwdriver heads2. Before installing the doors (L and M), extend the hinges (#8) to the longest depth (see step 9). This step makes it easier to attach the doors so they don't bind.3. Attach the hinges (#8) to the doors (L and M) before attaching them to the unit (same reason as above). Attaching the hinges to the unit was the most challenging step for me (a flashlight helped).4. It's easier to peel off the labels on parts N and O before installing than after the unit is fully assembled.

Edit: I've had this unit for about 8 years now (bought in 2018, still use it in 2025), and its held up. It did scratch on the surface (more of my own doing than anything) but in terms of the quality, its been great for an $80 piece of furnitureThis is a fantastic piece of furniture. Perfect for holding multiple game systems as well as holding a decently large tv. (I have a 32 inch and i have tons of space left)This didn’t take me too long to put together. Took me about 1 1/2- 2 hours to put together with some help. The instructions were very straight forward and easy to follow. Make sure you have a few Philips heads screwdrivers and you’ll be golden. Definitely use 2 people to make thisWhen putting on the doors in the front, attach the latches to the actual unit, then attach the doors. Made it much easier to put togetherThe only bad thing I have to say about this is, it’s a little on the cheap side. I broke off one of the bottom legs. Just treat it carefully when putting it together and you should have no problemsDefinitely going to last me many years. A great product for only $80Would definitely buy again

This is a FANTASTIC little TV stand! I bought the one for a 50" tv and put it together myself. The package was VERY heavy, just FYI. You'll probably want to have someone help you lift it. I just had to come leave a review because I've never encountered a "cheap" piece of Chinese furniture that was so wonderfully packaged, easy to assemble and sturdy! I've assembled tons of affordable (read: cheap) pieces bought at discount stores over the years and this was far and away the best designed, most well thought out piece! I can't believe it was only $67! All the bits and pieces were in individual bags, clearly labeled with their letter code and the number there should be. The directions were clear and easy to understand. Even the design of the back piece was stellar! In my experience, the back of cheap furniture is usually super flimsy cardboard that you have to nail on with tiny nails and it just looks terrible. THIS one, however, is a firm piece of heavy weight cardboard with pre-cut holes and you actually screw it to the back of the cabinet! Genius! It looks fantastic. I feel like a huge dork for being so excited about this tv stand, but when you've assembled as many crappy pieces of cheap furniture with terrible directions and missing pieces as I have, it's exciting to find something affordable that is so well made! I would 100% buy this brand again and HIGHLY recommend it!!

I purchased the Black version when it was on sale. I had a low budget for my tv stand, as I am living in an apartment and didn't want to get anything too pricey. Assembly was straightforward. I did as the other reviewers suggested and attached the doors first. I am quite physically unfit but managed to assemble it alone in about 2-3 hours (including some short rests). It was very tiring but doable. I only needed a screwdriver (I have one where you can switch different tips so I don't remember if I needed different tips). The holes matched up pretty well but I remember there were some which you had to be careful to screw in all the way but not further than that or you would hear some worrying splintering noises. The doors still catch a bit. I was able to adjust them a bit according to their instructions but it's not fully smooth. The hinges worry me a bit. The doors may become a problem once I start using them more often. My 55" TV sits on it well (it hangs a bit over but still looks good).Overall, pretty simple to put together and a good deal for the price if you're looking for a cheap tv stand option (though again I got it on sale). Some quality issues but still feel satisfied with it so far.

This is amazing.First let me say, this is worth buying.Now here's why.I was able to install this in about 30-40 minutes completely alone.Every single item was clearly labeled, every separate bag of bolts had its own label.The instructions were clear, and easy to follow.Unlike most low cost furniture that I've assembled, the hardware is exceptional, I didn't have any issues with the drill points either.They seem to have decided on a higher quality hing for the doors, and it's a great choice.The one issue I have with them is that they seem to have lower quality hardware for these, but oh well.MAKE SURE to use a larger screwdriver for these, as they will strip if you aren't careful. I used the PH2 from my toolbox.A whole page of the instructions is dedicated to setting up the doors properly, and does a good job walking you through it.All in all, I had 0 issues setting this up and it looks great!The wood seems extremely solid, and it's also extremely stable.
