Just Right For Loafing: Specifically
I wear these shoes every day. They are my house shoes. They fit fine, have held up very well, and are actually comfortable enough to wear all day every day. Yes, they did squeek for a few days, but a few trips out to the mailbox fixed that. I suggest scuffing them on concrete just a bit. Oddly enough, using them breaks them in, just like shoes. Mine are no longer slippery. The footbeds are shallow but enough for casual walking. These are not athletic shoes or even work shoes. They are really more for loafing. I do a lot of loafing. If you are wearing these for walking all day every day at work, like a nurse, then you should know better. Shame on you! Mine did not split at the seams, wear out in days, or any such nonsense. They are growing only more comfortable with time. They have real leather that will adjust to your foot, so again, just like real shoes. I suggest buying a pair that actually fits the size of your feet and not trying to force your feet into the wrong size. These do not lace up like athletic shoes, so measure accurately. If you happen to have extra big round feet, maybe try a style of shoe that is NOT intended to be snug around the top of your foot. After months of constant use, these shoes clearly show the shape of my foot, but no signs of stress. I have clumsily crushed my foot into them enough that the back edge is a bit bent, but that is my fault for not caring enough to use a shoe horn. Once my foot is in there, even that is not noticeable. And really, if you are looking that close at the back of my shoes, what's wrong with you? I'll never know how these shoes were back in the day, but I know what is on my feet right now. These are simply good loafers. I'm told they look a bit too nice to be wearing around the house, but that just aint going to stop me. I wear them with everything and anything. Women compliment them and men make no complaints. That's more than I ask of an inexpensive shoe.

Another beautiful and comfortable shoe from Clarks
Clarks Men's Escalade Step: $54.47 for a Men’s 10.5 pair at the time of review Clarks have been around for a long time. A lot longer than I have. I remember my dad buying pairs of Clarks when I was a kid. Thankfully, like all good long term brands, Clarks has adapter to modern styling so these ain’t your daddy’s Clarks. When I needed a new pair of dress shoes for a desk job with a dress code, the first name I thought of was Clarks. *What I liked*: The styling on these is great. It has a kind of classic look with the squared toe but modern lines and contours to fit my feet better. They are comfortable. This was a major prerequisite of any pair of dress shoes that I was going to have to wear five days a week. I was taking two walks a day to break up the day of sitting at a desk and these did just fine for my little 15 minute 1-ish mile diversion. The price is right. At just over $50 bucks, these shoes are not gonna break the bank. *What I didn't like*: The only knock I have on them is that they seemed to scuff somewhat easily. This is mitigated by a nice shoe care/shine kit. For $10 bucks you can keep them looking like new. I just spent 5 minutes every Sunday evening buffing and polishing them. Tip top shape. *The Bottom Line:* Like much of the world, my regular days in an office ended with the onset of the COVID pandemic as I transitioned to work from home. But I still have my Clarks. These days they only get taken out for special occasions, but they still look just as good. As an added bonus, I don’t have to polish them nearly as often. These shoes earn all five stars out of five. I’d definitely buy these over again.

Very Nice Soft Leather Dress Shoe
Clarks have always been a good fit for me. My foot runs wide and I have a high arch and instep. This is a nice quality soft leather shoe. They look really nice with any pair of pants. I like the insole which I found to be comfortable. This is the first time I have ordered a pair of shoes on line! I always have to try on both pair since my left foot is larger than my right. So I took a chance and since Clarks usually fit well I ordered this pair. They fit out of the box and I didn't have break them in. I was in the shoes for 14 hrs the first time I wore them. The dogs were definitely tired by the end of the day and wanted out but that was to be expected after all that time. So for me they are a great shoe and if your feet are like mine I highly recommend them! Cheers

My Go-To Dress Shoes
I'm a Clarks Men's Escalade Step Loafers kind of guy. You might say that this style in a Clark is my trademark. I purchased two pairs (black pair and brown pair) in 2016. I have worn them regularly with business suits for eight years. My brown pair were showing a bit of wear. I consider myself fortunate to find that the same shoe is still available. They are true to fit. They are comfortable and they last! I've found that a Clark shoe means great value in comfort, quality and price.

Extremely comfortable.
The Men's Escalade loafer from Clarks has to be the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I suffer from severe back issues due to fractured vertebrae 25 years ago. I have 2 pair and I wear them every single day all day for the last 5 years. I chose these over my sneakers any day! I have finally worn them out to the point where I need to replace them and you better bet I am getting another 2 pairs of these. The only negative I have of these is don't wear them in super wet weather. The stitching in the soles wick the water straight up to your feet and it seems to be hit or miss. One pair do and the other pair doesn't wick...

It's like walking on sunshine....whoa oooooooh
Now that I got your attention and song in your head, these shoes are nothing short of amazing! The sheer comfort in walking in these has me hop skipping into work now. It's like a soft cloud instantly appears under my feet on each step and then wisps away for but a mere second, waiting for that moment to reappear under my feet again and say "Don't worry buddy, you're not walking on this cold hard ground today, no sir, not today if I have anything to do with it!". And boy, does it not disappoint in it's upright dedication to the cause :) Besides the heavenly walk, the shoes look well made and slips on pretty easily. I can be a stickler with dress shoes, especially since I have flat feet. I went through many, some I had to get insoles just to stop my feet from aching after a couple hours (hard to get your grove on at weddings when all you want to do is give your feet a break, amiright?!). But I've walked all day in these, and now dread the drive home from work knowing I have to take these puppies off D': Such a cruel, unforgiving world at times.... Overall, would recommend buying a pair of these magical items forged by the very feet of the Foot Gods themselves. Guaranteed to get at least +20 Stamina, +5 Speed, +10 Absorb, and a solid 500 HP to your life bar. May the Foot Gods wiggle their Toes down upon you!
