Game changer!
First off I love that this is a one piece self contained unit. It’s so simple and easy. When attached to the vacuum it can be pulled around as a single unit. All the connections are a screw type clamp which hold really well. Build quality is terrific, very thick plastic on the cyclone and connectors and smooth rolling casters. The dust collection is fantastic with very little getting by to the filter. Only the very finest particles make it which isn’t a big deal. Surprisingly, it has an adequate tanks size and holds more than you’d think. The instructions and marketing are absolutely brilliant and have some light hearted humor to them. Very easy to follow and provide easy explanation. Customer service is also top notch as I sent them a message on IG explaining my particular vac and what I had to modify to make it work. They responded right away with pushing it on to the engineering team as an alternate solution. This is perfect for anyone that has a small shop space and is tired of losing suction from clogged filters. Rock solid purchase.

Great customer service
Dust collector has been used twice and seems to work great. Had an issue with the hose connectors that came with the collector. I have a Fein shop vac the a different hose end. Gus sent out another connector that works great.Previously I used a Oneida collector that worked good but the top lid cracked due to the suction of my vac. The Mullet collector seems to be a stronger design

Flow and go
Love this! I have a Dewalt 6.5hp shop vacuum with stainless steel tank. The suction port is the exact height of the Mullet. It was easy to install. I've used it on a Dewalt 13.5 inch planer. No suction loss, all the way up to the point where the Mullet was full to the clear emptying port.Planing and routing produces a lot of shavings, dust, and chips. I've emptied out the Mullet at least 6 times. Never loses suction and I haven't changed the vacuum bag.The design is unique and well done. The way it attaches to the vacuum, allows me to pull it around as if it were just the vacuum. It rolls very easily as a unit, in any direction. It easily detaches from the vacuum for emptying. The emptying port is large and dumps out quickly and easily. It's also very light weight. The only negative is that static builds up and fine sawdust clings all over the Mullet, the shop vac, and the hoses. I don't think it's the fault of the Mullet, as I had the issue before I got it.Great product for my small shop. It will eventually pay for itself in vacuum bags.

Great Product and Even Better Customer Service
I am more than pleased with the product I received from the team at Mullet Tools. It works as advertised, and super easy to set up. I am even more impressed with their level of service. When I purchased the cyclone I also bought a new shop vac to power it. I wanted one that wasn't as loud and had good reviews as to suction and power. I ended up getting the VacMaster pro. It is a nice vac and really well built. Unfortunately it had a screw on connector for the hose. The cyclone hooked up to the vac with no problem, but the hose from the vac did not connect. I really wasn't worried because I had my old hose that worked fine. I sent an email thanking them for the product and just mentioned that the hose didn't work. I really didn't expect anything from it, and I wasn't mad or disappointed. I had a reply from them the following morning, and Gus and the team at Mullet were not happy that the new hose wouldn't work. They sprung into action. Within a week after hearing my dilemma they have designed and produced an adaptor that allows me to use my new hose. I recommend the product to anyone that needs dust collection. It works fantastically, but even more I recommend the team at Mullet Tools. They have gone over and above what I ever expected from them or any company these days. I truly wish them success and hope they come out with more innovative products soon, because I will be the first in line to buy them. Thank you everyone at Mullet Tools!!!

Pricey but works well
I could see our business having a few of these but they are expensive for what it is. I don’t regret buying though. They work incredibly well.Takes the burden off of the vacuum or dust extractor. We use Ridgid shop vacs or the IQ426Hepa dust extractor. We now run 20-40ft of hose from the extractor to the Mullet, and then use a 6-10 ft hose to the hose end or tool that we have attached. Before the mullet, we would get debris caught in the longer hose and lose suction. But now if a clog happens, it’s easy to clear the short hose. We keep an eye on the mullet and dump when needed. But the other great part is that we can go days without having to knock out a blocked filter. Prior to using the Mullet separator we could be knocking out a filter every hour. And because this separates the majority of debris (95%+ depending on how heavy the debris) we just use the IQ426Hepa dust extractor as a shop vac that has improved filtration on the back end. It will pick up anything that fits in the 2.5” hose, better than any shop vac setup we’ve used. The only changed I might make or would like to see in a future model, is a heavier base. Because we used this as stand alone closer to the hose end, meaning it’s not directly at the vacuum, it tends to tip over until it starts to fill up. I may have to attach some weight to the bottom. And the wheels could be a little bigger for those using on a rough construction site. I know all shop vacs fail on the wheels as well but for a premium product, maybe a second “pro” option could be nice.

I will soon own more of these…
I bought one for home but will soon add one to my work shop vac and any other shop vac I can find hahaha. Amazing product. Saves me so much time. I hate cleaning and dealing with filters. With this I can suck much longer without needing to change or clean out my shop vac filter.Install is really a breeze. No added noise. The castors and stability of the unit allow it to mate perfectly with my Craftsman shop vac and they are a solid single unit that effortlessly moves around my shop.Very innovative product and an amazing value. Super pleased!
