I bought this for my tortoise but this thing is so unbelievably badly thrown together, you won’t actually believe anybody could seriously have the gall to offer this up and expect people to pay for it, imagine a drunken baboon has been tasked with manufacturing this item…whilst blindfolded, yes dear reader, it’s way worse than that, I don’t even know where to start, apart from the bin obviously, but I will attempt to muster a few words, do not under ANY circumstances purchase this box, the quality is absolutely terrible, they’ve used the worst quality softest wood they can find, they’ve used a piece on mine where instead of cutting an inch further down to avoid a large knot, they’ve simply chucked a load of filler to make up the gap where wood should be, it’s probably cost them more in filler and time than an extra inch of wood, they’ve not even taken any pride over their product, the whole thing is full of missing knots which compromises the integrity of it, there’s filler and splits all over it from the ultra soft wood, I’d imagine these will rot within a season, the same product is all over Amazon from different sellers, do yourself a massive favour and look elsewhere, just don’t waste your time and money on this.

Not being an expert in woodworking, I found this fairly easy to assemble. I did have a bit of a struggle fixing the hinges on the lid and working out how to fix them. The end product was worth it as can be seen by the photo. I am happy with the quality of the hutch and the cat has taken to it, especially as I have now fitted a piece of carpet!

Bought this for our cat to shelter from the rain until we let him in. He used it straight away. Pre-treated wood. Easy to assemble with pre-drilled holes and little tabs to locate the side panels on top of.for alignment. A one star review mentioned poor quality, filler and missing knot holes. I didn't find any problems with mine. Filler had been used but only to plug missing knots, which I think is a good thing so the company obviously addressed the quality issue. My only problem was alignment of the lid prop arm. There's a little pad on the lid to screw the one end to but no position marked on the side panel. The mechanism over travels and jams if you attach the lower end to far back so my tip is, open the arm fully till it clicks, attach to lid, close lid about 15 to 20 degrees, then mark and attach the lower end to inside top slat of side panel then it's fine.

I had not bought one of these for a few years.Trying this one was the right thing.So easy and simple to put together. Holes are pre drilled. Screws supplied fitted perfect.Lid is so easy to screw on, all screws needed are supplied.The wood quality is soft wood but no splinters or bits missing.All fitted together great.And yes my two piggies do approve.I fill mine with fleece blankets, and my little darlings have decided to live in there. Bed time is fun now they moan like anything when I say the bed word lol. Typical guinea pigs.Great quality looks great and my Jackie and Chan love it.

Slightly different than the grey one advertised as in it doesn't have the air vents and the colour is more of a minky grey than the light grey shown. That said, it is value for money and very easy to put together. The roof felt is also a darker green which is fine.Just thought I'd mention that the sleeping area measures 43cm x 35cm x 29cmH at front (without any insulation which we will put in) and the entrance measures 17cm x 27cm.Plenty of room for our fairly large cat (5.5kg).Happy with purchase and would recommend.

Bought for a vagrant who settled in the garden. I stood it on a plastic platform, covered it with a tarpaulin and lined the inside with some self adhesive insulation panels. I was afraid they would quickly come unstuck in wet weather but they haven’t as the interior has stayed nice and dry as has the straw I filled it with. I can see from where it is trampled he sleeps close to the door. I take this to mean it’s plenty warm inside as he has ample space to snuggle further in if he wants to. I am going to buy the cover to give an extra layer of insulation for the coming cold weather. The price is reasonable and it took half an hour to put together. I do recommend making a few simple modifications like I did to make it really cosy and waterproof. Only took a few days for the cat to move in. He is a long haired cat and when he turned up his fur was a matted mess, his eye was weepy and he was very thin but it didn’t take long until his coat was glossy and combed, his eye clear and to put some weight on. He looks much healthier, happy and chilled now. I am hoping to get him to a vet soon. Overall I’m really pleased with this little house.

Bought for cat who was staying out all night, to give him somewhere warm & cozy to shelter.He never used it. Slugs used it more often!Easy to assemble but it’s not weather tested as it’s under cover. Also never needed cleaning as he never used it...
