Standing on the roof and working above the gutter, I used this tool as instructed - scraping the gutter debris by pulling towards me and using the hook to pull the debris under the gutter hangers. This allowed me to form piles of debris in the gutter. That’s what it’s good at.What it isn’t good at is getting those piles of debris out of the gutter. The scrapper is flat, small in area (shaped like a whale tail) and doesn’t have raised sides to keep the debris on the scrapper when shoveling. It felt as if I was trying to shovel this debris with a small putty knife. I ended up removing the debris by hand, grabbing handfuls at a time, which was waay more efficient.One other thing to note is that the tool did fit the extension poles that I already had on hand for use with paint rollers. I tried it with a wooden Quickie brand pole with metal threads as well as fiberglass telescopic Shur-Line brand pole with plastic threads. Both fit fine.Overall, this is a useful tool. Just know that you may need one of those handheld gutter scoops or to simply use your hand to remove the debris piles. I hope this review was helpful.

This works great. I used it a little differently than the directions suggested. I found that you can use it to push the gutter debris away from you, as well as towards you. When you push it away from you, it pushes the debris up, and out of the gutter. I found this tool to be very useful.

For the record; this is supposed to be compatible with telescoping rods. I went to a hardware store and nothing was compatible with is piece of actual garbage. Further, the telescoping rod that was advertised as being compatible didn't fit with it either and was a totally different product.I've bought literally thousands of things from Amazon in the past 8 years and this was the first time I was tricked into buying two things that are totally unrelated to each other.

This tool is a time saver for my small gutter cleaning business. I attached it to an extension pole and can use it in many different scenarios when I need extra length to pull leaves and debris down the gutter line. Don't be fooled large end that looks like a handle can be flipped over and used to push the debris under the stays in the gutters. I previously bought a more expensive model of the same tool on Amazon and it broke within a couple of uses, but this item is sturdy and seems to be made well! Would buy again if needed, but I think this one will last me a while! I've used it on 20-30 gutters and counting.

This tool on an extending pole along with the scoop helped clear all our gutters in a few hours. I was truly impressed how it made it easy to bring stuff closer to scoop up. Highly recommend it. You still need elbow grease and effort. This tool isn’t going to serve you dinner.
