easy install fit is great!!

This shipped and arrived much faster than the stated time and fit perfectly for a great price. Installation is super easy and took less than 5 minutes.Two things to note when buying this item:1) Save the nuts when you remove the old part from the hood! This comes with new bolts but you will have to re-use the nuts that came off the car to install this.2) This is stated to fit only model years 2001-2004 Mazda Tribute. This will also fit the 2005-2006 model year, with one slight difference in appearance, the 05-06 version has a scoop in the middle right above the Mazda logo to contours to that logo. This one goes straight across and does not contour to the logo. This is purely aesthetic and does not interfere with installation or operation. For a $35 savings I would go with this one rather than one that matches the 05-06 model year version.

Fits 2003 Mazda Tribute ES like a glove, no problems. Does not come with nuts (mounting bolts are installed) so ensure you keep those from the old one if you can.But fits perfectly and installs in a few minutes and looks as original.

I bought 2 of these because I have two of the same cars. They look great. Save the bolts from the old ones (not the screws, the bolts but basically, keep the old unit until you've installed the new one, duh. They look better than their photo

Fit our 2004 Tribute perfectly. I went to close the hood a few weeks ago, and the old part just fell off. I was surprised to find a replacement on Amazon at such a reasonable price. I've read other reviews that say the part feels cheap, but it looked like good quality to me. As other people have stated, be sure to keep the hex nuts from the existing part if they're available. I was missing one, so I went down to the hardware store, and all I could find were smaller ones, but they did the trick. You're looking for size M5

I purchased this for a 2006 Mazda Tribute. It fits perfect even though it says that it wont. There is a minor cosmetic difference between this one and my original but one would never notice it. in the center of the oiriginal there is a small indent that matches the emblem in the grill this one does not have that. it does not effect the way it mounts or anything of the sort.arrived in a timely manner and was packaged nicely.

My replacement chrome strip for the hood of my 2001 Mazda Tribute was scheduled to arrive as early as Oct. 7th, but was on my doorstep today (Monday Oct. 4th). The part was not bent or smashed up, being flimsy plastic. This piece is like model-airplane plastic - which is the same material more or less as the original factory piece, but it's still cheap. The same fragile plastic was used by Mazda for the interior door handles, and a little plastic tab on the lever handle operates the locking mechanism - which explains why the early-model Tributes had a big issue with the door handles breaking. It was a very poor design flaw.I noticed two things with this replacement part: the factory part had a thin strip of hard, durable rubber - like tire rubber or rubber from an engine belt - at the top edge of the piece. This replacement part only has a thin strip of foam rubber - the same kind of foam rubber that you get with a window air conditioner to use to fill in any gaps or cracks left open to the outside due to the A/C unit not fitting the frame right. So this foam rubber is not as durable and will age and crumble away to dust in short time. Also the replacement part bolts did not have the little black rubber gaskets for the bolts. These are nickle-sized gaskets - like rubber washers - that were adhered onto the factory piece for the five threaded bolts. I was able to pry those gaskets off of the original, and apply them to the replacement part. They were stretched a bit and worse for wear, but they were better than no gaskets at all.I used a 10 mm metric hex socket to screw the part onto my Tribute: it fit tightly and perfectly to the space it was intended for. Despite the differences from the factory unit, it's still a good buy for the money, and if it holds together for 3-5 years it was money well spent.

Everything went together like advertised, easy to install.
