I've followed the author on social media for a while and was excited to grab her book. It did not disappoint. Her open, upbeat attitude is refreshing. The writing is engaging and easy to understand. If you're on the fence, hop off and grab this book.

RECOMMENDING THIS TO ANYONE OPEN to it! <3
Wowzers, I am nearing the end of Discover Your Dharma and there is so much juicy life stuff in here - real life stuff you are not taught in traditional schooling or things that were not taught abundantly if that makes any sense. I am a 31 yr. old female and believe this is a great book for any individual wondering about what else is out there and your particular path. It is full of quizzes, journal prompts, and helpful pros/ cons to certain life situations.I say I wish I knew about this stuff X amount of time ago, but the book just came out and our minds are only able to receive what they are ready to. I feel with my particular path having a sudden death of a parent and a shitty ending to a years long relationship all were stars in the show of my path to self discovery and now what I am framing as my spiritual awakening. Everything is falling in line and there are so many resources such as this book out there to help me and others going through this Earth school which can be so painful at times. THIS stuff makes sense to me - I resonate with it and am SO thankful for people such as Sahara Rose raising this vibration! Ahhh. And to be backed by Deepak Chopra?! I also purchased Sahara’s Eat Feel Fresh and Chopra’s Perfect Health book. Also did you know Sahara has a podcast, Highest Self?! I just finished episode 046 Financial Self- Care of Sahara's Highest Self Podcast and hope she talks more about this/ writes a book on it. I have a couple years worth of yummy topics to catch up on now!I am on the last chapter and a half and I am kind of bursting with excitement not to sound cheesy, but this book is really helping me propel forward. I wish I had taken advantage of the deals with the buy multiple copies for friends to make my own book club with it! Oh well, now I know for the next Sahara Rose book! Two years ago I would’ve said dharma what? But now.. it’s dharma, discovery, energy, chakras, knowing we don’t have all the answers but there is so much TO learn about our individual make up and from ancient teachings, alignment, bliss, meditative mind, kundalini, my happiness is intertwined with other’s happiness, Ayurveda.. to name a few!

Motivating Guidance
I've been following Sahara Rose's Instagram (found in "random" divine timing) for several months. I felt a magnetic pull despite some envy at the surface - I had my own shadows and insecurity to werk through; I'm glad I continued to feed my soul with her social media presence. I finally decided to purchase her book when I got an email about Amazon's buy one get one half off deal.I read a chapter or two every day. It flowed very well. I know the basics about Ayurveda (thanks to my intensive yoga studies) so it was easy to digest but even if you are unfamiliar, it will be easy to understand. She's very good at explaining words and topics. There is a lot of personal promotion throughout the book but hey, if it's related, why not? At first, I thought it was annoying but honestly, that was just my envy speaking. She knows how to persuade and market herself (nothing wrong with that) so I give her props because that is something I struggle with doing.I've had a desire to write a book for a while and although I was already writing before purchasing this book, I have dedicated sacred time for it more than ever before. This book has been a blessing and I will cherish it for getting me motivated to live my dharma - doing what feels in alignment and of service. I'm learning to truly honor what feels easy for me to do - I just have to keep remembering that it is meant for me to nurture and live out loud. This book won't give you an exact answer for what job you should take or whom you're meant to be in this lifetime (other than we are all meant to be of service). Rather, it gives you guidance and tools for you to dig a little, let things uncover, and be patient while taking compassionate action. A huge takeaway is that our jobs and roles may shift and change but the essence of them all is the same if we are living in alignment with our dharma.I wish Sahara continued success and hope this review will help you take a chance and actively read this book to help you (re)discover your dharma.

A Warning to Mental Health Readers
*Edit* was ignored by the author when I reached out with questions, preferring instead to only reply to the 'OMG Qween' comments. Told me everything I needed to know. It is one thing to not to know, it is another to ignore & pretend I'm just 'low vibe'. This book isnt about helping anyone. It's about flattering a spiritual ego, that unfortunately these New Age Gurus all have. Lesson Learned.I wanted to like this book. I really, really did. But after a few chapters I was exhausted, depleted, and crying uncontrollably in confusion. This book has triggered me and I don't know why. No one has answered my questions yet, not even Sahara herself on Instagram and I'm feeling lonlier by the minute.I really don't understand why I have reacted and feel the way I do. I've surprised myself and the lack of answers is just adding to the tension. The author herself writes in a modern tone and easy to understanding, breaking subjects down. I've been to her website and discovered my dharma. I just don't understand why I've been impacted like a trauma response rather than the happy knowing feeling everyone else has had.

This book is THE book of 2021!
In this book Sahara tackles the big issues around purpose, why many people believe they can’t live their purpose- you can’t make money doing what you love, only certain people get to live their purposes, most of us have to just get a stable job and be realistic - and tears them to shreds. She shares the uncomfortable truth that you are not meant to feel stuck and stressed in your life, but not only does she share that this is possible, she shares the practical ways you lead yourself out of this dreaded place, from honouring your curiosities and reflecting on your life experiences and figuring out your dharma archetypes to find on your dharma, as well as powerful embodiment practices to help stay aligned with your dharma. This book is full of real talk- everyone is nervous and scared of failure, but the secret of successful people is that they do it anyway. “Your fear of failure is guaranteeing your failure”.Sahara shares stories of her own adversities of health and life and other people she’s interviewed and about how damaging it is to your body, mind, heart and soul, and a disservice to the world, not to be living your dharma. One line I could relate to massively- “by societal standards I had nothing, no job no security no stability but on the inside I had met a part of myself that I didn’t even know existed and I wasn’t going to let her go”. This book is also full of journal prompts to reflect on your own life, really explore who you are and how you show up in the world. To reflect on your life experiences and the experiences of your parents, grandparents and ancestors and find meaning in them. To own the things you are most ashamed of, as Sahara says.. ‘when we own our stories, we are no longer bound by them.’ Sahara doesn’t spoon feed you the answers, she guides you to find them yourself.‘Discover your Dharma’ explains thousands year old concepts from the Vedic texts of India. These concepts are older than us and Sahara doesn’t try to claim them as her own, but then she also adds her unique voice to be able to communicate these concepts to the current situation of the western world, unemployment levels, mental health and suicide rates high, many people disconnected from themselves. She explains the concepts of Dharma and Ayurveda respectfully to the traditions, but also accessible to the modern reader who is trying to find their purpose but may not be familiar with the Vedic texts. For someone who spent her whole life confused and overwhelmed, on the continuous journey of searching for meaning, this book helped me break down more of the many self limiting beliefs that I had been carrying. She helped me realise feeling confused doesn’t mean i’m broken or I’m failing, as Sahara says, that not being able to predict the future isn’t a bad thing, “it’s better to not know where you’re going than to go in the wrong direction.” This is exactly how I feel right now about my life.We say we are searching for happiness but I don’t think we are, I think we are searching for purpose. Sahara knows this. Again Sahara brings us a wonderful book that I can safely say anybody who is human will benefit from. This book isn’t just for the dreamers, it’s for anyone who wants to feel like they belong and that they are needed. Because we all are. And it’s a travesty that many of us can’t see that. This book came at the perfect time for me, quitting my job and launching my business and writing my book. I needed this so much, it was medicine. Thank you. Sahara thank you for everything you do for this world <3

Excellent Book
I only received this book yesterday (on launch day too - yaay amazon!) and I am almost half way through. Such a beautifully written book. I love how the way Sahara writes resonates with us - us in the modern world. I struggle with old scriptures and always wish someone would explain the ideas behind them (without losing the meaning) in a little more user-friendly dialogue. I know I will finish this book (in a rush because I'm so excited) once and then go back again and make notes, make a mess (a messy book is a well loved book) and go deeper. Love it.

THE BOOK YOUR SOUL NEEDS!!
I have only just finished reading the first two chapters of this book and honestly, just WOW!! I wanted to write a review once I'd finished but there have been so many points where I've just wanted to gush about how good it is!! I don't know why it took my so long to buy and read this book but all I know is I obviously wasn't in a place to receive this information. But, now? I feel like the universe guided me to finding this book and reminding me to read it because everything that I have read so far is PRECISESLY what I needed to hear and remember. I can relate to soooo much of this book, particularly Sahara's past challenges with family and expectations, it has really helped me reconsider my own experiences with family. So much of what I've read is deeply healing and therapeutic. I'm usually a really fast reader but this book is making me want to slow down and re-read parts multiple times because it quite honestly makes me feel good and makes my soul so happy. The messages and wisdom are so beautifully written and as I said, so much of the content is relatable. When I finally received the book and posted it on my Instagram account, the number of women who reached out and said this was their favourite book and they're so excited for me to read it, that made me EVEN MORE excited! I can totally see why they speak so highly of it and I'm so looking forward to reading more and getting stuck in with all the journaling prompts.I'm so grateful this book found me when it did and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who has always wanted more from life, for themselves and to really understand what we're here for. There are so many complex messages and ideas on every single page but it's so playful and easy to follow, it's fun! It absolutely embodies Sahara and her mission and really makes living an enlightened life accessible for all.I've loved what I've read so much that I've bought the audiobook on Audible too - it really makes me feel like I'm receiving wisdom from the author herself and Sahara's voice is sooo soothing and motivating. Will keep you posted with my thoughts but it has already exceeded my expectations and they were already high!!

Inspiring, motivating and life-changing!
Wow, where do I start?! I'm only a third of the way through this book and it's already opened my eyes to so much about myself and my purpose. My mindset is shifting and I've had so many revelations and downloads about my where I am right now and where I want to be, where I'm meant to be. I read this every chance I get and I'm always excited to get to the next chapter and learn even more not just about dharma, the doshas and vedic spirituality, but myself. The way Sahara writes is inspiring, humorous, relatable, informative and has a way of really making you dive deep and reflect on the self. I found myself nodding at so many parts as I read along, as I felt Sahara understood not just me but the collective. The journalling prompts in the book have been very insightful and has a way of really calling me out on my cr*ap! Love it, best self help & spirituality book I've bought in ages. I'm excited to implement what I've learned so far about my dharma and get started!P.s. this might not be a good book for you if a) you're not willing to put in the work and b) if you don't like a bit of tongue and cheek humour in a self-help book. But if you're like me and love blatant honesty, a good laugh and are excited to get discovering your purpose and advancing on your spiritual journey, then this book is definitely for you.
