UPDATE: To my surprise, a box arrived at my door step today. In it? A new brand new beautiful hat! Also, a lovely note from this companys sales team apologizing for my original order. The replacement is gorgeous & I’m excited to wear it!! Thrilled at how they handled this.... class act!OLD REVIEW: This hat is just okay. It arrived pretty banged up, lots of dents & you can see the hot glue holding the belt on. If I can straighten out the dents, I’ll keep it. It’ll look cute if I can. If not... back to Amazon it goes.

First I ordered the same hat in size Large to Ex-Large. It was too big. So I ordered the same hat in Small to Medium and it was too small. Wish they had a "Medium" size. I'm certain that would have fit. I did not return either hat I gave them both away to people they would fit. The hats are very well-made and I really liked them. I was disappointed that the only sizes offered didn't fit the person I purchased them for.

Came packaged in a box, must have paid attention to the other reviews where it was shipped in a bag. My hat size is 22" so I got the small/Medium and it is a very good fit, it is ever so slightly a bit big maybe by 1/4" I like my hats just a bit snug, but this does not move on my head if I shake it. Looks great and well made, the straw material is very soft, I was impressed with it and looks like a more expensive hat. I would highly recommend this!!

Every hat is too lsrge for me! Usually have to get kid’s size if I don’t care about appearance. This hat arrived in a box of it’s own, air bubble packaging around it. Arrived pristine condition!! Thank you. (Movers kept my old favorite hat like this. )

After reading reviews, I was concerned this would be shipped in a bag. But it arrived in a box and in perfect shape, ready to wear.Two other items I ordered were even combined in the shipment. The photos were taken immediately after opening the box and removing my other two items.I ordered the black colored hat. The photo of the hat out of the box was taken in sunlight.The material is lightweight, but not flimsy. It is not as thick as felt, but is MUCH sturdier than a typical cheap Halloween costume hat. The material is sturdy enough for everyday wear.Great quality. Was shipped in perfect form in a box.

The small box in Your delivery photo contains the hat and shoes. As you can see it's a very small box not nearly big enough for the hat let alone the shoes too. The person packaging this box made a very loud statement to me. With no other packing materials other than light weight plastic bags on each. They placed the shoes in the bottom of the box then turned the hat on it's crown against the shoes and took both hands and smashing the hat into the box taping it closed. You can imagine what the damage to the hat must have looked like to me. You would have to be with me to see what my facial expression must have been when I cut the tape and the hat popped up much like a jack in the box. The straw had been creased over the entire hat and will never come back to it's original shape. My favorite choice was a Stetson . I talked myself out of it because I had concerns about the damages that may have been caused to its original condition. I will not be returning this hat for replacement but rather I will keep it in plain sight as a reminder to not order any kind of soft goods in the future. I have purchased over three thousand dollars in merchandise from Amazon since April l would like to think that that fact alone will be enough to encourage you to make things right. The decision is entirely yours.

For the price, I will say this seems to be a fairly good item. It is slightly too large for my head, but I am a woman and I feel like it is probably sized more for men; however, my biggest complaint is that this hat does not seem to be a "true" black as pictured. It is more a charcoal grey, which is completely disappointing, since I needed a real BLACK for a costume. 2 stars off.EDITED 10/2/19 After some communication back and forth with the seller, they did refund my money, so I will say that they were good to at least do that much to make me happy. I raised the review to 4 stars for that. I also see that many have complained about the hat being crushed by shipping in a bag, and I don’t remember if mine came in a bag or not, but it was perfectly shaped, just not black, as I had wanted.

Amazon wouldn’t accept my initial review so I’ve toned it down to meet their guidelines.This straw hat was shipped in a plastic bag. Crushed and unwearable. I could spend a couple of hours steaming it and reshapeing it I suppose but that’s not what I paid for. What would it have taken to ship in a cardboard box?
