Works great for medium firmness spring mattress
Great product. I did not get paid for this review, and I purchased this product with own money after searching several different vaccuum bags. I used this product to help move my 12 inch queen size spring supported pillow top mattress across the country. Let me say that this product out preformed all expectations in every category. I was easily able to for my Queen size pillow top mattress that is 12 inches thick inside the bag with plenty of room to spare. The seal on the bag held up great during the 48 hours I had it in my car. Some people mentioned how easily the bag will tear, but I didn't have this issue. The plastic itself I would say is medium thickness and will hold up nicely as long as you're careful with that you're doing. If you have long or sharp nails, then you should take caution when moving the bag, and if you drag it along the ground then I would expect that it would puncture. It seals with a simple ziplock style closure device that didn't give my any issues. The vaccum part was also a breeze. There is a one way valve that you place the hose of your vaccum cleaner up to, and this is how you remove the air. I have a cheap little Dirt Devil vaccum and I was able to get the mattress fully compressed in about an hour. Once I got to where I going, I just opened the ziplock seal and the mattress was back to normal within seconds. No broken springs, folds, or creases as a result. Pro tip, if you lay/walk on your mattress while trying to vaccuum seal the mattress, it works so much better. Again, I was able to get a 12 inch thick queen size mattress to compress down to 4 inches thick, which I then folded up and threw in the back of my car. I cannot fully comment on the carying straps since I wasn't able to use them. But initial impression is that they are good quality, with strong velcro and built in carrying straps. Unfortunately for me, you do need to roll up your mattress in order to use them. Since my mattress is a spring mattress and not a foam mattress I couldn't roll it up tight enough to get the included steps to fit on the mattress. My work around was to fold the mattress in half and secure it with ratchet straps which I also used as carrying handles. Overall this product was able to allow me to keep my mattress and save me money. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move a mattress by themselves.

It Works!
Great product. I could not believe it worked. I got a larger mattress and needed to send this like new Brooklyn mattress to my son. Did not have a car big enough so decided to try this bag. Used a shop vac and it compressed in approximately 30 minutes. Needed 2 people to fold once compressed and apply the straps but it then fit into back seat of car.

Tore in multiple places immediately
As soon as I turned my vacuum off, I heard the hissing and it started reinflating rapidly. This is not sturdy plastic. I flipped the mattress around and noticed that in an area where the plastic scrunched up/folded from the mattress shrinking, that there was a 1-2 inch rip in the plastic exactly where the fold was. There are tape patches included. That did nothing for the leak. I had to turn my vaccum back on and start rolling up my mattress while I had the vacuum going. You can't tell too well from the photo, but I used up a whole roll of packing tape and then some in order to force the mattress to stay rolled up. It's a full size hybrid mattress. I will say that my mattress for some reason has zippers on it. It is not a cover, it's built into the mattress. Anyway, the zippers ripped the plastic as the bag shrink wrapped around them. The zippers are metal, so I guess that's not the bag's fault, but it's something to be aware of. The Duck HD Clear packing tape (not sponsored) is the only thing holding this together. I'd have been better off buying a non-vacuum bag and using that. There's a video of a woman on YouTube who used a U-Haul regular mattress bag and used a vacuum on that to shrink it down. My mattress is a hybrid, so I probably could have taped it up a little smaller if there weren't springs in my mattress.

Works for hybrid; use lots of duct tape as vacuum seal will eventually fail
1) it totally flattened a 14 inch queen hybrid mattress to about 3 inches flat. We used a Shark Navigator vacuum with the little valve closed so as to get maximum suction and with my son walking around the mattress and along the edges it only took us about 10 minutes to get it as compressed as possible. 2) Rolled up, this enabled the mattress to fit in a Nissan Rouge with back seat down 3) it does not remain vacuum sealed for long. But expecting that, we used TONS of duct tape. First, along the zipped edge of the interior bag. Then once rolled up we wrapped it in multiple rounds of duct tape. Then we vacuum sealed it into the exterior bag and we duct taped THAT! And then lastly we used the straps it came with and knotted those tight. We did this in the evening and come morning when it was time to move yes I could tell that the vacuum had failed on both exterior and interior bag somewhere BUT it was still compact because of all the duct tape.

Great Vacuum Bag!
This bag works great and does exactly what it is advertised to do. You DO need to be careful with it as it punctures or tears easily. After getting a tiny tear in the rolled up assembly I used some of the thoughtfully supplied patching material and it worked fine before I even needed to reapply more vacuum. After that I followed the suggestion of wrapping my mattress in a sheet afterwards and then used movers shrink wrap around the entire roll, putting about four or five overlapping layers covering each end. My mattress has been stored in a closet for about a month and a half now (it'll be stored indefinitely since it was my sons before he moved into his own place and got a king size mattress to replace this queen) and the bag shows no signs of leaking. This bag works great but it's definitely not made to tolerate any rough treatment such as dragging, scraping, etc. Keep that in mind and I'm sure you'll be highly satisfied, just as I am.

Didn't even make it out of the bedroom
Well, it was easy to get on the bed. It sealed fine via zipper. Vacuumed just fine. It was after it was flat, before I was able to roll it up it started leaking from a pinhole near the valve. It time it took me to move the vacuum to the other side of the room it all it took to start leaking. I tried to seal the hole the best I could, but it's right up against the valve making it nearly impossible to actually get tape over. Within an hour or so the mattress had expanded. Fortunately, it's a tatini mattress and a memory foam pad so it's not that huge of a deal. The fact that I was able to get it into a burrito shape at all, made it possible for me to put it on top of the Jeep. But still, I was hoping it would at least make it onto the car before it let air back in. I didn't expect the bag to survive being ratchet strapped to the roof. Oddly enough, does not seem to have caused any additional damage. 🤷🏾♂️ Don't think I'm going to buy this one again.

Great for moves of any distance
Works incredibly well and the straps are easy to tighten and strong hold. I have now purchased this bag twice - once for a move from Texas to Chicago, and the second time for a move up the street. The bags did not leak air at all and the straps stayed tight on both trips (but I can’t say I’d recommend keeping it rolled for more than a few days). I have a very thick queen mattress so I bought a king sized bag and it worked very well putting it in sideways. If you have a thick mattress I would recommend sizing up. Only thing to be aware of is that it takes a while to fully seal the mattress and if you use a cheap vacuum you might make the vacuum go belly up. Luckily mine recovered after overheating but when I used my mom’s nicer vacuum it was more than up to the task. The package was way easier to move than a whole mattress due to it being compressed and rolled up. Would recommend these for anyone looking to move a memory foam mattress.

1000 STARS
You need this if you are going to move and have a fully foam mattress. Not for any mattress that has coils inside. Mine did have a teeny hole that I heard while putting in the car. Can't say 100% if it was be as I went through the door or the product. But it DID hold well and I put some duct tape over it, was all fine. I think it comes with hole patches. Not for leaving on for days on end. Good for short moves. Mine was Vacuumed at 0700 and undone around 1500 (7a-3p) This allowed a Mid 50's Woman to carry a 10" Queen Foam bed alone. The 4 straps are Great for using as handles. 10000 Stars. TIP- someone on here said to hold the air valve out with your fingers as you suck in the air. Great Tip !
