This book was pretty helpful for the novice to black lab pups.

Very informational. Although it is supposed to be dedicated to the chocolate lab, I think it's generic in the way that it could be meant for any puppy of this type of temperament. So far though, I've learned a lot and am confident in bringing my pup home and getting him started on positive reinforcement.

Very informative book!

Bringing my chocolate home I didn't know what to expect exactly and quite honestly still am winging certain things with his trait specific needs, this book gives great insight and quick cliff like notes on not only how to spot personality traits but also how to reinforce the positive and subdue the negative less likable traits. I look forward to digesting the "think like an alpha" book. Also very high props to amazon for allowing me to library the book out to my kindle you guys are what's right in the oven diagram of electronic/daily consumer needs. thanks again amazon and Mr. Allen!

Good book!

I got this book for my ten year old son before we get our puppy chocolate Lab and it proved quite helpful for training the puppy.

Very informative bought for my daughter who said she had learnt from it and that it had helped prior to reception of her chocolate lab puppy
