Good value, great sound blocking, and the most comfortable I've found.
These are as good or likely better than my past favorite, the Hearos Extreme (blue, 33 NRR). I stopped buying those after reading the reviews that mention they are made differently now. I first tried a sample of the Moldex M6800 but those caused my ears to be sore by morning like some other reviewers of that model describe. After a ton of research, I decided on these and couldn't be happier. This is actually the only earplug I have managed to insert without using a Q-tip (which is never recommended since you could damage your eardrum). They seem to compress a bit smaller and stay compressed a bit longer than other brands I've tried (over a dozen now). My process with these: roll between fingers to make it as small as possible, then per a tip from a review for another model/brand, wet it slightly (by mouth, or in other words, just lick it), grab the top of the ear and pull up and back to straighten the canal as much as possible, then insert quickly and hold until it expands enough to stay put. If I don't follow that reviewer's advice I'm rarely successful, so if you have issues, just try it. When they are inserted properly I hear almost nothing. Our dog is the loudest snorer in our bedroom and I can barely hear her when she is 'sawing logs'. These might even be too good because I slept through our home alarm going off (accidentally trigger by a guest) which is crazy because that thing is LOUD.It might seem like a lot of money just for ear plugs but, you're getting 200 individually packaged pairs. A whopping thirteen cents per pack (based on current price and free shipping). I reuse mine for a few nights so this box will likely last me two years or more. I think they are worth it!

Simple product that works very well
Rather than repeat others' reviews, read all the earlier 5 star reviews. I agree with them. Undeadpony's review says almost everything I wanted to say, and he says it very well.A few additional comments:I use these at least ten hours a day, between sleeping and motorcycling. Very comfortable and very effective.I mainly use them in three situations. 1) Sleeping, 2) Motorcycling, and 3) Airplane travel.Snoring does not bother me anymore. Neighbors' barking dogs don't bother me. However, there is one small problem. We wake up to soft music in the morning. Normally, this is not a problem, because my wife handles that. However, when she travels, and I am alone, the earplugs work too well. My solution is to put my iPhone in my pocket. Its alarm also vibrates. That works. On the motorcycle I ALWAYS wear ear protection. Everyone should. These are perfect, because they cut out the noise that harms hearing, but allow sounds that you want to come through. You can hear enough surrounding sounds to know if vehicles are present, or if there is an emergency vehicle approaching. I notice that using earplugs reduces stress. With the earplugs, riding my motorcycle is quieter than being in a car with the windows up. It's very nice. (I can't promise this is true for Harley-Davidsons, but it will help a lot.) I have speakers in my helmet. Using the earplugs I can still hear music, talk radio, and my wife's intercom perfectly. Of course, you'll have to turn up the volume more than you would without the plugs. One downside: When you're talking to someone, like another motorcyclist at the stoplight, or someone at the gas station, you'll have to tell them you are wearing earplugs, so they'll speak more loudly.Air travel is much more pleasant with these. You have all the benefits previously discussed. The color is great, because the attendant can see you are using them. When I sleep on the plane I use these earplugs AND my Bose noise canceling headphones. Awesome! Almost total silence.A word on the benefits of individual packs. The box of 200 is designed for a workplace where you don't want other people touching your earplugs. I quickly discovered that the individual packs are great! I always keep a couple of pairs in the storage areas on my motorcycle. I keep at least one pair in my motorcycle jacket. I keep some in my backpack. In the packs, they stay clean in spaces that might not always be clean. They always stay together. Trust me, once you get these in individual packs, you'll never go back to the plastic container with a whole bunch packed together.

Great product!
I've been using these for years...!They don't cancel out all the noise, but they're a good balance between noise cancellation, comfort, and price.

Too many single earplug packs
The most recent box of 200 pairs of Softies we purchased have had 8 packs of a single earplug rather than a pair (we are only halfway through the box so this figure could increase). My husband has been using Softies to sleep for years and this has never happened before. It’s highly disappointing when we’ve paid for 200 pairs however not all packs actually have pairs in them.

and possibly the most comfortable. I have worn them for hours on end ...
I use these for motorcycle riding on a daily basis. I also use these for shooting, using power tools, mowing, all kinds of things really. One of the highest NRR ratings for foam earplugs, and possibly the most comfortable. I have worn them for hours on end with no problem. Having them wrapped by pairs helps a lot, I keep a handful of them everywhere and can open a new set any time I need.

Priorities
Soft and comfortable, these work like a charm, they completely block out my wife's light snoring, but allow me to hear beloved dog's morning feed me whines. Will buy again.

These are the best!! I've tried many others
These are the best!! I've tried many others. My husband always said the ones from the hospital are the best. These are the ones they use. They come in packages of two so the box is big.
