Backlit keyboard works great.

I purchased one of these and when it arrived I noticed it did not sit flat and when installed numerous keys did not always work. I requested a replacement and it arrived on October 31st, 2022. It was a pretty quick turnaround and I was happy with that. The replacement was pretty good and it was installed easily enough. But after a few weeks of use, the upper right-hand side started raising now it won't stay down and the spacebar and a few other keys are beginning to take extra effort or multiple presses to take effect. I would like to get it replaced again but it doesn't seem like there is a place to get support. It is failing after only 3 months. Update: it is a year later and even though this gets minimal use it has been a complete pain in the a$$. The spacebar rarely works andother keys intermittently won'twork. The backlight quit after about 2 months. I tried to get replaced againbut they disappeared from Amazon for awhile. Finally tired of this and buyinga keyboard from somebody else. I suggest you do the same.

This is my second keyboard replacement. The first had some unreliable keys. This one seems to work better. Easy to replace except there are several fold lines and no instructions. This has a second cable for the backlight. I looked at where the cable connects to the motherboard and figured out what folds would work.

The keys feel like small crumbs or something is stuck underneath them, which makes some of the keys hard to press. The backlit works fine but some keys doesn't lit properly as if the lights are being partly blocked underneath them, and some of the keys are too high which makes the lights literally beaming through each gaps, It's really annoying. Not sure if I'll buy from this seller again.

The main keyboard ribbon cable did not fit properly. Had excessive covering where it fit on the end to attach to computer. Had to remove some of it to enable it to fit under lock. would not recommend this.Backlight cable fit correctly and had up written on end where ist was supposed to. Main ribbon wasn't marked. Not sure how long it will work!

This keyboard is nice and seems to be working ok. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5558. Just make sure to check your model number specifically before buying this.
