Anyone that has left a negative review for Dear Girls has obviously no idea who Ali Wong is. The book is true to her style of comedy but also includes some heart felt sentiment. Maybe it's her honesty people can't deal with, but if you've seen any of Ali's stand up shows, you will love this book, trust me. Ali rules!

Book arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I loved Baby Cobra. So this was an easy and enjoyable read for me. The afterword/letter from her husband at the end rounded the book off nicely.

Ali Wong’s book is so funny and I couldn’t put it down. There were times i would burst out laughing and my partners would raise his eyebrows to understand what was making me laugh so hard. Reading about her life and her many adventures allowed me to connect with her and many of the things that speaks about I can deeply relate to. This was a great read especially during this very weird quarantine period.

Brilliant book, I cried laughing in some parts. I didn't want it to end and savoured every chapter. Loved it and would RECOMMEND adding it to your (essential go to when life feels s**t and you just need a laugh) bookshelf!

I’d say some parts were uninteresting because I wasn’t interested in some of the family stories. They seemed to be a filler for the book but to be fair, the book is a letter to her daughters so I can understand why she included that. Overall nice book, gave me a some laughs and definitely could hear her voice in my hear while reading those lines!

Read this in two nights. Honest, Hilarious, highly recommended

Loves Ali Wong as a stand up and she brings that same honest humour to her writing aswell. Laughed out loud within minutes of starting to read this book. Definitely recommend

I laughed/cried all the way through the book, and found myself in her stories as I always do with her shows. Definitely would read again.

Ali Wong's humor not only translates on stage but also in her memoir. Her memoir is filled with hilarious anecdotes and even more convulsion-inducing commentaries and asides, but along with each story Ali offers valuable advice to aspiring young creatives, and young people in general who are pursuing their dreams. Ali Wong discusses her wondrous life trajectory leading to her current success, all the bumps in the road, and more importantly her dedication to her craft. I highly recommend this book, especially to young women.

La conocí con su especial de netflix y se la puse a mi pareja, desde entonces vemos todo lo que hace. Este libro es del mismo estilo que sus monólogos y su humor muy bueno también.

I enjoyed the book. It is brutal, honest and raw. I have till date never seen any set of Ali Wong but after reading this , I am going to watch her perform.
