Had To Return
I returned this smart scale because we keep our house very cool in the winter (60-64 degrees) and I couldn't get the scale to work properly at that temperature. Plus, it seems my feet were always too cold to register the biometrics, especially without socks. The scale registered the weight OK, but I wanted to tabulate the biometrics too. Consumer Reports rates this sale very high and it is one of their "recommended" scales, so I was surprised that it would not function properly in a cool house. I bought another one of their recommended scales and it works great in my cool house and was only slightly more expensive.

Did NOT Want Monthly Fee
I ordered this scale as it had a lot of features and the price was incredible-----there had to be a gimmick...There was--- as I understood it - IF I wanted to see all the data on my phone-- there was an additional monthly fee. I will return it and buy the GE model for ~$50 which "said" there were NO monthly fees--- we'll see. If I am wrong-- I'll gladly change my personal review.

"Glitchy" Device
Very "glitchy" (spotty, unreliable) performance. It claims to read and report a variety of useful information in addition to one's weight (e.g. visceral fat, bone mass, etc.). It does that about 25% of the time. But the vast majority of times it records my weight only and asks if I want to "Try Again" to get the full details. I've tried several "fixes" (e.g. replacing the batteries, cleaning the surface of the scale, etc.) but nothing changed the problem. So, I've just given up on the idea that it will reliably give me more readings than my weight (which of course any bathroom scale will provide). So, unless you just want to measure your weight, I suggest you pass on this junk.

Shattering Glass
I’ve had this scale for just over two years. I’m aware ware and tear is going to occur over that amount of time, but I want tk be VERY clear that I have used this gently and well within reasonability. For the most part, this scale works as designed. Today, however, the scale literally shattered when I bumped it on a PVC when moving it from under my bathroom sink to the ground. I did not forcefully bang the scale against the pipe — simply bumped it on accident. I now have multiple cuts on my hands from the scale breaking, and I find this extremely concerning. Considering that this occurred with minimal force, what may have happened if I were standing in the device? I’m not sure if this is a defect with my specific scale, but I will certainly reconsider purchasing a glass scale from here on out. I would not recommend this device due to safety concerns.

NOT A REAL BIA SCANNER
This thing doesn't do legit BIA scanning, it just uses a predetermined algorithm based on your weight and maybe 1 extremely minor and rough current impedance. Easily verifiable, just get on the scale holding a weight of some kind and you'll see it directly increase your body fat and muscle by the same exact ratio every time. Fake garbage as a "BIA scanner" with a trash app, but the weight functionality seems to work fine.

Weight works but other functions did not work properly
I Would give zero stars if I could. It has malfunctioned since I brought it. It only records weight and not the other functions like BMI only some times randomly. I’m disabled so taking it back was a would have been a hassle. I was hoping it would work. When I reached out they weren’t helpful. I’m looking to purchase a new scale from somewhere else because of my weight loss journey. This scale is not helpful for me due to the constant malfunctioning.

I naccurate — shows a different weight every time
These scales show a different weight every time I step on them. Even when I move them to another location, the readings are still inconsistent. I regret this purchase. I compared them with other scales, and there is a noticeable difference in the results. They do not show the same weight. Even if you weigh yourself every minute, the reading changes each time. I also don’t like the app. I wanted to return the product, but the return deadline had already passed. I do not recommend this purchase.

Terrible for more than one user
This performs incredibly poorly for two users. We each set up our own VeSync account just for this scale. The scale doesn't distinguish between a male user and a female user despite easily identifiable and notable biometrics- which it supposedly should be able to do (whether app-side or hardware side). You have to jump through hoops to get it to successfully record the weight/data for one user, and then jump through more hoops to get it to work for the second user. This is basically the dumbest "smart" scale and It's super disappointing. If you could both just weigh yourselves and then each use the app and each pick out your own data- at least that would be something. But no. If neither person was "connected" to the scale and one person opens their app, they get to choose between the two weights the scale has recorded (so far so good), but then the scale deletes the other weight, rather than waiting for the other person to claim it. There's no option to edit data once it is in the app. So when my wife was previously connected to the scale to weigh in and then off in a different room to look at her data. When I took my phone in to weigh myself, her phone reconnected through multiple walls and my data was then uploaded to her phone without any check along the way despite her having just weighed in five minutes prior- it just overwrote her data with mine- despite completely different biometrics. So frustrating. In order to prevent this chaos and work for multiple users, each user (with their own VeSync app) has to have bluetooth on, open the app, open the scale in the app, make sure it connects to the physical scale, weigh themselves, then turn bluetooth off so that they don't connect when the next person weighs in. Who thought this was a great sequence to support just two users (or more)? Who wants to go through these steps every day or even every week? You'd need a sheet on the wall just to remind you. Optionally you could just have multiple profiles on one person's app, but it's the same sequence of steps to get data to the appropriate user. It's hard for me to believe they took this through development and thought this was fine. I submitted a support request through Etekcity's website (through the get product support on amazon) and no response from them about any suggestion for an easier way to do this. No email confirmation (there was a webpage "ticket number"). Granted. I haven't waited 3 days or whatnot, but this piece of "technology" (I use that term generously) is clearly underdeveloped. If they finally reply with anything useful, I'll update this review. But at this point I'm boxing the product back up to return, so they have the rest of today...
