Brain Games - Color by Pixel

I love any opportunity to challenge my mind and found the Brain Games brand a few years back. I have never had a bad experience with any of their book offerings and this was no exception. Great product and price along with being a fun way to relieve stress!

Sometimes the picture has too many shades of black or brown but otherwise I love it!

I received this yesterday and I love color by numbers so I figured I would loved this. WOW is it detailed and there are lots of pages that have pretty much the same colors in the picture. I am going to give it a chance because I love coloring in my spare time and its really relaxing.

My six year old twins love this book. They have a large set of gel pens that they use with this book and they will sit for hours coloring. I take out the answer pages so that each picture is a surprise. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a quiet activity for kids (or adults too haha).

While it's enjoyable for someone who's super detailed-oriented like me to color these, there are a lot of small issues here. Since the pages are printed two-sided on just average paper, using markers is out of the question, and neither colored pencils or gel pens are opaque enough to cover up the keys, so the final product doesn't look all that great no matter how well you do it. As others have stated, the color keys are ... less than optimal, and it's highly unlikely that you'll have so many similar shades of a single color in your art supplies as some of the pictures require.There are better adult color by number books out there by far, but this one isn't awful if you're more interested in the process than the final product.

would buy again. I like this they have to make more of these. they are good as gifts to.

This is the first review I have ever written, but I was soooooooooooooo disappointed with this book, I was moved to write. THE COLOR KEY IS AWFUL!!! I just finished trying to do a page and 5 of the colors looked to be black???? You can tell yellow from red, but if the color is a darker hue, all the color codes look alike. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this book. The puzzles are not full page--I have to resize them 137% just to get them to a full page (8.5 x 11)--it's bothersome, but you can do this--printing every page, but there's NOTHING you can do about that undecipherable color key!! Don't waste your money!!
