The pacing is perfect, keeping a reader's interest throughout. Although it does touch on difficult themes, such as grief and mental health, these are so beautifully threaded through the story that it does not feel like an emotional overload has occurred. The ultimate message is that things can be dealt with so the endpoint is uplifting. It's fun, well written, absorbing, ideal for the age-group. Review: Being able to pack so much fun into a book that also has a very up to date and strong storyline is sheer genius. My nine year old grand-daughter loves this book, as indeed do I !

Ordered this for my 11-year-old son who has previously greatly enjoyed the Charlie books by the same author. Very glad I did, he loved it and finished it in just a few days - recommend!

Great story thats was easy to read. Boys enjoyed the humour in it. Also addressed death but in a positive way. Would highly recommend

Bought this for my son as he had enjoyed the 'Charlie changes into...' series. He adored this as well, it was very funny.
