This product is awesome! I installed it in my 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ between the two front seats. It fits great and is heavy duty! No interference with the shift knob at all. My only gripe is that I had to go buy some different hardware to mount it. One of the bolts was WAY too long.Also, if you're getting one for a YJ, definitely get the 6.5 in wide console. I bought the 8in console first, and while you can technically force it in between the seats, it presses the buckle into your side which is uncomfortable and inhibits smooth operation of the passenger seat sliding forward to access the back.If you buy the right size and are willing to potentially buy some different hardware, I would absolutely recommend buying this product. It is bombproof!

Was in desperate need of a lock-in console with cup holders and an armrest for my 95’ wrangler. This was an easy I stall but you will need 2 people. 1 in jeep and 1 under to tighten the 3 bolts. Also you will need 7-8 extra washers per bolt because the bolts are universal in length and were an inch and a half too long so you will run out of threads or buy shorter bolts. Other than that I am extremely satisfied.

This box has a tremendous amount of room inside -- with my half-top on the Jeep (early 90's YJ), I can put valuables or smaller purchased items in it while parking and running errands with great security. Unfortunately the bolts that arrived with it had too long of a shank, and the nuts "bottomed-out" before tightening against the underside of the Jeep. However, I used my own bolts rather than sending back for them (didn't want to wait). Beyond that minor negative experience, I still highly recommend this! (would have given 5 stars if not for the wrong bolts) The lock, with a dual-sided key, is rugged and sturdy, and would appear to be very dificult to pick (I'm not a locksmith). The overall construction of the console is very tough, and all one has to do is try to open it while locked to feel how tough it is! I put my jack components, aside from the jack itself in there, as well as garage door opener, various keys, locking lug key for the wheels, etc. The cupholders are a perfect location behind the stick-shift, and the width of the box easily fits between the seats. The padded top is great, especially since the metal construction has no give whatsoever. The tray in the upper-rear section inside is perfect for smaller items you don't want to mix in with other items.Love it!

High quality console you'd expect from Tuffy. Fits in between the Cavalier/Sunfire seats in my YJ. The extra storage is nice and the cupholders add modern convenience.

You could use this as bomb shelter it is incredibly durable and secure! We have bought other center console's in the past and they never held up but this one will last longer than the Jeep!! Huge area for storing, the lock is virtualy indestructible, it sits just at the perfect height for an arm rest and the cup holders fit any sze cup. Easy to install, worth every penny!!!

Tuffy consoles fill a void in the market. Nobody makes nice center consoles for Jeeps/old broncos etc. Tuffy products work but they are super basic: no padding or covering on sides, sharp corners, sharp edges inside. Oh and they rattle like crazy. Cup holders suck too - weak Design and the little foam retainers don’t last long. We have one, but looking forward to replacing it with something better!

Well built, secure, a little expensive, but fits the YJ better than anything else I have found

Expensive, but well worth the money. Worked well for a center consul in my Rock Buggy. It provided a safe and secure way to mount my Clarion Pre-Amp along with some USB charging ports for Cell Phones ect.I can now safely store my phone, wallet, Go-Pro and iPod while camping or spectating.
