Thermacell E55 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller with 20’ Mosquito Protection Zone

The product wasn't packaged properly. The refill unit had leaked into its plastic bag and absorbed into the cardboard box. Not only do I have less repellant, but metofluthrin is toxic and not supposed to be handled.

The unit itself is great but the refills don’t last very long and it seems are imported from America. Cost of refills for the rechargeable refill is way more than the gas refills for standard original thermacell mosquito repellent .. hence 3 stars than 5 but effectiveness is 5 star

This is advertised and sold as a refillable product - however refills are not available. Avoid.

Totally crap, only a diffuser at end of day and very hard to get refills. Stick with normal plug ins.....

Can't get refills and regardless it does not do what it says it should. I so wanted it to work but disappointed it didn't.

This misquotes repplent did absolutely nothing—mosquitoes were still everywhere. No noticeable effect at all. I regret buying it and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I live in Hawaiʻi and needed something less toxic than mosquito coils and longer lasting. We have had very wet, humid weather (Kona) this year with mosquitoes breeding like crazy. We have also had an increase in dengue cases from travelers coming in from the tropics. I remove all standing water from my property but have no control over everyone else. My son introduced me to this mosquito repellent. It does an excellent job keeping mosquitoes away for hours. It is rechargeable so no more buying batteries. The cartridge contains an odorless liquid that becomes a vapor with the mild heat generated. It makes no sound and is unobtrusive sitting in a corner or under a table. One repeller covers my entire lanai with ease, with another to cover the grass so the kids can play. It lasts for hours and hours, with the cartridge lasting nearly 12 hours. I keep a price alert on the cartridges so I can buy refills when they are at their lowest price point. I find these to be very effective and a good value.

En esta época es muy molesto estar en la tarde y noche en la terraza. Los moscos de verdad me hacían correr a meterme a la casa. Lo probamos el fin de semana y la diferencia fue notable. Vimos de vez en cuando algún mosco (no hace magia), pero NADA que ver con la cantidad que había antes. No son baratos los repuestos y veré la opción de pedirlos a EUA, pero para mí valen la pena.

I like the product and found it to be effective against mosquitoes. The problem is that it is not possible to buy refills and is therefore a complete waste of money.
