Lightweight, heats up fast, and works like a charm โ best value iron Iโve had in the UK
This is the second iron Iโve bought since moving to the UK, and Iโm genuinely happy with it. My previous one was a budget option from another brand (maybe Brelil or something like that?) and it was just terrible โ barely ironed anything, took forever to heat up, and felt bulky and awkward in the hand. In contrast, this Philips model is lightweight, compact, and heats up quickly. It glides effortlessly over clothes and delivers great steam, even on a basic setting. It also doesnโt take too long to cool down, which I appreciate. Despite being one of Philipsโ simpler models, it performs far beyond my expectations. I got it with a discount, and it cost about the same as my previous iron โ but the difference in quality is day and night. The ceramic soleplate hasnโt stuck to anything, even synthetic fabrics, and Iโve been using it with scented ironing water with no issues. The design is sleek and minimal, which I prefer over flashy colours. All in all, Iโm genuinely pleased every time I use it. It simply does its job โ and does it well. Highly recommend if you want a reliable, no-fuss iron at a good price.

Powerful Little Iron.
A great little iron. It's light & easy to use. This was a must as I am disabled. The attached cable is a similar length to most irons I have owned & best of all is a material covered one that doesn't twist or knot. It's pretty good on crease removal. The 4* review is only because it needs filling a lot & whistles every time it's turned upright. Minor issues that may be rectified on the newer model. I really like this little iron though.

Lightweight but does the job
I bought this iron to replace my previous Philips steam iron. It is lightweight and is not heavy with a full tank of water. When filling the tank you can see it filling but it is not clear, so you have to watch it or it will spill out. The sole plate is slightly smaller than my last iron, but it has made no difference to the ironing results. The lead is slightly shorter than my last lead, but the old iron lead was constantly get twisted up, this lead has not got twisted whilst ironing, so a definite positive for me. The lead is attached to the iron with a moveable ball, so when you are ironing the ball allows the lead to drop so it does not get in the way of your wrist. There has been a couple of water drops during ironing, but these have not been a problem. I have found that I have had to set the temperature slightly higher to get the results I want, but with everything new it is working out how it works best for you. This is not a small iron and I would not describe it as a travel iron I do not like ironing, but I am happy with my new iron and the results

Headline: "Efficient, Lightweight, and Easy to Use: The Perfect Iron for Everyday Needs!"
"I recently purchased the Philips Steam Iron Easyspeed (GC1751/98), and I'm thoroughly impressed! Not only is it lightweight, making ironing sessions a breeze, but it's also incredibly easy to use. With just four settings, understanding its functions is a piece of cake. The steam boost feature is a game-changer, effortlessly tackling stubborn wrinkles with up to 100 grams of steam power. Plus, the ceramic soleplate glides smoothly over fabrics, leaving them perfectly pressed. Another highlight is its water efficiency โ it takes just a tiny bit of water from the 220 ml tank to iron many T-shirts, saving both time and resources. Overall, I highly recommend this Philips steam iron for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly appliance."

Feels light
Works well, feels very light in the hand. Although works perfectly, it feels like its at the lower price range. Ideal second iron or for traveling. Water seems to need topping up often.
