I liked using this in the beginning but I would take too long filing my baby’s nails. The grit is really fine so it files the nails slower but it does leave the edges smooth. I ordered a cute owl nail clipper set that also has a file with more course grit. I will use these in conjunction but the kit was about the same price as this one nail file. So this nail file is expensive and I would choose the kit instead. Also if you can’t tell this nail file is glass so make sure you put it away properly when done. For reference My baby is 1 month old.

I cannot say enough good things about this nail file. It has worked so well for smoothing any roughness on my toddler's nails. We've been using this brand since she was a tiny baby before I was brave enough to try nail scissors on her little razor blade nails. We like them so much that I've purchased three because I lost one on a trip and the second broke (dropped it on the tile floor of the bathroom). So yeah, it's glass so it can break, if you're not careful, but the case should help with that. Small enough to work around baby and toddler nails but large enough to comfortably grasp. Pretty important because you'll be using it a lot with how fast baby/toddler nails grow (crazy fast).Highly recommend this file. It's so worth the cost.

Do yourself a favor and get this nail file for your little one. For the past 3 months I had been using some no name brand glass file on my baby’s nails and wondering why it would take me 40 minutes to file just his hands. This Giraffe Nail file seemed pricey at first but there were so many positive reviews I thought I’d give it a try. The reviews were right! It is so fast and easy to file my sons nails now. The file is dual sided and doesn’t wear down with a lot of use. It’s easy to clean and the best part is it works very quickly compared to all the others I’ve tried. It’s still just as safe on baby’s soft fingertips too. I’m so glad I gave this file a try it’s cut down on my filing time dramatically.

Must have item for the hospital bag! My son was born with rather long, sharp nails, and he loves grabbing his cheeks, which resulted in multiple scratches during his first two days of life. I ordered it from the hospital and it arrived promptly and in one piece. I was able to file his nails as short as possible and he slept through the whole thing. I ended up purchasing a second one (one for home use, one for diaper bag). My only regret is not purchasing before his birth to have it available at the hospital.

I just used this nail file for the first time on my 7 week old baby. Super impressed with how easy it is to use and how well it works on her thin sharp nails. It's pretty solid feeling and the perfect size to work on tiny fingernails. I like how smooth the edges are so no worry about roughing up her delicate skin. Can do all the way around the edges of the nail no problem. It is a very fine grit and almost feels soft. It files the nail perfectly. I was able to file her nails while she was awake causing no distress what so ever that's how smooth it is. Very pleased with purchase definitely recommend!

Trimming my baby's fingernails has terrified me from the beginning. My first attempt with normal baby clippers failed miserably when my daughter jerked and I ended up snipping the skin from the top of her finger instead of the nail :( :( There was blood, there were tears (mainly from me!), and I became a nervous wreck from that point on. I tried the normal baby emery boards and was finding some success, but felt they would become dull too quickly. I actually started biting my daughter's nails to keep them short when I randomly stumbled upon this product. I was hesitant because of the cost, but tried it out in desperation. It WORKS and it works well without any fear of accidentally hurting my daughter in the process. I have been using it now for about 8 months and feel that it has not fulled out. It has become one of my new go-to gifts for parents to be!

I was skeptical about spending this much on a nail file, but it takes away all the worry of having to trim my LO's nails. This gets the job done with ease!Caution: this is breakable and will split off into tiny pieces since it is made of glass. After only having this file for a week, it met it's demise at the foot of my SO. It was laying on the floor next to LO's changing mat and the rest is history. The little case / sleeve that the file comes in is nice and handy. Luckily, I had the file in the sleeve so the tiny pieces of broken glass were contained.That being said, I purchased a second one as a replacement because I do like the nail file and recommend this product.

I use this while she is breast feeding to keep her nails nice & short. It works great! I do have to spend a little extra time working on the edges where it can get really sharp but that would be true with any instrument. I love that I get longer use out of this product then any disposable, which really saves me money considering how affordable this product is! And babies are so expensive, I like to save where I can! I also like that I have more control with this mail file as opposed to baby nail clippers. For my family, this is the product for us!

Very cute nail file. I hate cutting my babies nails because I cut him one time and I really thought this would work better. Once I got it, I thought it was adorable but doesn’t really do the trick on my 4 month olds thick nails, I was dissatisfied because of how expensive it was.
