Silicone Pastry Mat with Measurements. Finally a Baking Mat That Actually Works. Designed in the USA. Large 23” x 15”

Impressively sturdy yet incredibly flexible. It really does stay put on the countertop while rolling out pie dough and biscuits; might not hold for a large batch of sticky bread dough, but I just rolled out and shaped 48 sticky dinner rolls on it without a hitch. It also does a great job of transferring dough to the pie pan; just roll both ends toward the middle and center it over the pan before unrolling. Sooo much nicer than the one I've been using.The markings are accurate and useful, just don't forget to add diameter for pie crusts--a 9-inch pan needs a dough circle of about 11-1/2 inches. Also, use a metal bench knife very carefully as a corner could cut the silicon. I've repurposed a plastic scraper with great results.The smaller size-- "Large" -- is perfect for biscuits and other small jobs or maybe for restricted space. Otherwise, I recommend the new "Extra Large"he size. There's plenty of room for extra flour, etc. so it doesn't get on the counter top. That cuts clean-up considerably, something I really appreciate. Cleaning the mat itself is super easy, just rinse the under the sink sprayer and air dry.In all, this mat is the best I've used. I'm completely delighted with both sizes and very impressed with customer care. If you bake, you need this!Addendum on Nov. 9, 2016:Still fabulous after baking with these mats for almost a year! I used the smaller sized mat for smaller batches: biscuits, scones, etc. and the larger size for pies, pizza crusts, pasta dough, etc. They look brand new--pristine, in fact, despite use several times per week. They remain flexible, sturdy, and stationary! These workhorses belong in every kitchen. All my family will be receiving them this year!

I am extremely happy with this pastry mat. I was a little surprised at how thin it is (even though they say in the product description it's "very thin") ~ it is *very thin* LOL BUT it does not seem to take away from the integrity of the mat itself, at all ~ it's definitely not something that will 'break down' or 'tear' etc ... plus, because it is somewhat thin - it is extremely easy to roll up and put away (and get back out again) - you don't feel like you're dragging out some stiff, gigantic mat that is a pain to use, etc.I've used it several times already and it's non-stick exactly as advertised! I haven't had a bit of trouble with it - and it 'sticks' to the counter top, so I'm not trying to use it and end up having to work dough AND work the mat at the same time. And it is extremely easy to clean up!I looked at several others, of course and this one just seemed to be the best one. I also like the charts printed on it - those seemed to be more useful than some of the other mats available (except they left off the 1/3C conversion ;o) )I wish I had gotten the larger size, though - that's about the only thing I can say in a negative light and that's not even on them :o)I'm very happy with it and will probably end up buying them as stocking stuffer Christmas gifts for a couple of friends of mine who also do a lot of baking.

I love to bake cookies for the holidays however it can be a pain to try to roll out cookies to an even thickness. It doesn't help when you're trying to use a pastry mat that is sliding all over the place. You can't put much love into your baking when you're saying bad words while you're trying to get the mat to stay still under the rolling pin. Over the holidays I came across this baking mat on Amazon and I thought it looked pretty good and I liked the reviews. I gave it a try for my Christmas cookies and it made my life so much easier! Once you lay the mat down on your counter top it stays put! It was such an excellent value and it does exactly what it says. I ordered the smaller one because I wanted it to be easier to wash off in the sink. (The pastry mat that I had before that was a nightmare to clean!) It cleaned easily I would not hesitate the order the larger mat. It says flexible and the measurements are helpful also but the best part is that it just STAYS PUT!!! I'm thinking about even baking cookies for Valentines Day now because it just simplifies the process. I don't have to worry about the mat sliding all over the place anymore! I have a hard time believing that anyone would regret purchasing this mat. It is an excellent value and a great time saver!
