I Find This Book To Be A Helpful Resource For Healing And Reparenting The Wounded Inner Child
By asking; What happened to the Inner Child?I find is enlightening in understanding many aspects of our current personality, mentality and world view.I love the explanation of the concept of evocative cues, those sensory inputs that activate traumatic memories and trigger complex behaviours, emotions and psychological responses. We can learn to pay attention and understand our evocative cues so we can keep ourselves regulated, grounded and centred in our own reality. It is important to give back to yourself and take care of yourself so you can bring the best version of yourself and become effective in your life endeavours. It is important to have a healthy degree of control in your environment and your experience of life to ensure moderate, predictable and controllable experiences that build your resilience and personal growth. If at all possible, eliminate and avoid all sources of toxicity and negativity in your life, that wear you down to functional vulnerability of your brain and body and lead to a cascade of risks in your emotional, social, mental, and physical health.Brilliant excerpt from the book.Until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed. The wounds will bleed through and stain your life, through alcohol, through drugs, through sex, through overworking. We must understand and heal the wounds of the past before we can move forward. The book discusses the open possibilities of how one can heal and transmute experiences of adversity, challenges, disappointment, loss, relational betrayal, neglect, degradation, abuse and trauma, into personal empowerment, inner strength, post-traumatic growth and wisdom.I recommend the book.

Don’t get Kindle Version
This is an interesting book however when it’s Oprah’s turn to comment the writing is a very faint grey, in face @ 31% there is a page that I cannot even see, it’s very annoying and should be rectified!

It's ok on Kindle if you have an Android phone phone and it may be on other non Kindle devices also
I haven't finished reading this yet but I just wanted to add into the mix of reviews a photograph showing that what what Oprahs narrative is saying is in a light blue when I looked at the preview, then bought it on my Android phone and the Android Kindle app I suspect it probably will look the same on my PC as well if I choose to use it on that. So it's not what on all Kindle devices that it looks pale and difficult to read.

Best buy of 2023
This is the first time I’ve ever left a review on Amazon and this book definitely deserves 5 stars. Easy to understand, informative and I couldn’t put it down.
