I purchased these lacing beads to play with my grandchildren. I will say that they are the perfect size but my happiness ends there. The purple, blue and green beads are so dark in color that you can hardly tell them apart and the finish on all of the beads is dull. The biggest problem is the finish in the inside of the beads, the wood is so rough that they will not slide on the lacing string. Two strings came with the beads but it’s so flimsy that little fingers would not be able to lace it through the beads. Not a happy grandma.

We have twin 3 year old Granddaughters so when we have them at our home we are always looking for something that will not only entertain then for longer periods of time, but also help with motor skills, colors, shapes and more. We bought 2 sets of these and to our surprise the girls sat for over an hour and laced the beads up, then un-did the beads, and re-did them over and over. We usually get about an half hour of them concentrating on one project before they move on, but with these Lacing Beads, they played longer than anything else we have found. They would lace them first with random colors, then with all the colors grouped, then 2 by 2, 3 by 3 and so on. As long as we could come up with different ways for them to do it, they remained interested and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Later that evening they went back to them and we got another hour and a half of their time. This is a great product not only for learning, but toddler's also find them to be fun to play with. We are so pleased to have found this product and I have recommended this to several others. We would certainly buy them again.

I have 3 boys with autism all on different spectrums I love that it’s educational (well for them) they really enjoy pulling the string through the beads it seems to help keep their mindset occupied and those busy fingers busy and meanwhile mom can quickly put some dishes into the dishwasher or throw a load of wash in :)

My daughter uses this in her classroom and has had good results with the fine motor skills of some of her students. Highly recommend. It comes with a very sturdy container for them as well.

These are large and comfortable for young or older hands and feel great to touch. I knotted a small round ball to the end of each string so that the beads would not slip off the end.
