Not DMC the singing group or floss!
I’m not one that usually takes the time out of my day to write a review, I figured enough people have previously done so. However, in this case, I must take the time to offer my opinion. I want to state before I start, I have not received any compensation for my time nor review. With all that being said, I will start out saying this is the best generic cross stitch floss I have ever used. When I say that, I probably in the past 50 (ouch, am I that old?) years spent thousands of dollars creating masterpieces for weddings, birthdays, babies, housewarmings, memories and even items for their fur babies, I don’t discriminate. I admit the floss everyone started out using is a great floss. I have no problems with DMC floss. It does the job it is intended to do, the colors are brilliant, the durability is there, it’s what we all have used because there were no options. The problem is, it is very pricey. On average a project can use 50+ colors and at .60 a color, you can spend $30.00+ on floss alone. This is not including the fabric, metallics or charms. We won’t discuss the cost of framing. What used to be a $10 -$15 gift jumped up to $75.00+. In some cases the cost prices the project out of reach for some. They may be like me and uses this craft as a sort of therapy and has to settle for less due to the cost. Now there are tons of wannabes out there that say they are equal to or better than DMC for less money. This was not the case UNTIL I found the Thread Nanny here on Amazon. I have to admit I was very skeptical, they sounded too good to be true. How could anyone produce a floss as good as DMC for pennies? Well, they have and I will stand behind them 100%. This floss is not only affordable but offers the same characteristics as DMC. I have taken each individual color number and compared it with the DMC color chart and yes, in some instances there may be a slightly different color than the DMC color, but who cares? We are not mixing this brand and DMC on the same project or at least I don’t. Pink is pink, blue is blue, etc. I hate to think how much I spent on DMC because of my skepticism. Money down the drain. I have already used quite a bit of my first purchase of the 447 color package. As soon as I complete this review I will purchase another 447 package. I have gradually weeded out DMC and have replaced it with floss from the Thread Nanny. In closing I must say, I am one happy lady because of this company. The Thread Nanny has made me a very happy Grammy!

Great Bargain - Beautiful Colors - Nice Feel
I think this is a fantastic way to build up your floss inventory. Yeah - so they ain't perfect. Instead of all the skeins being 1 complete length - I did have a couple, maybe 3 skeins that were either cut or tied together. I'm going to cut the strands anyways, so that doesn't bother me. I did compare the colors to my DMC floss and for the most part - they match. However, there are some colors that are not exact. Does that matter to me - not in the least. I had rather have the variety of colors at a good price. I will use these to kit my small patterns and I think they'll turn out just fine. I have pictures of some of the colors. I got anxious to get them on bobbins and stopped taking pictures. Let me say - I am pleased that the majority of the colors do match up well with the DMC floss that I do have. Either way - I will enjoy using this floss and I plan to buy again. In the pictures - the ones labeled TN - are thread nanny floss and the other is DMC. As you will see - for the most part, the colors match up well enough.

Perfect for cross stitchers
I purchased this for my 86 year old mother and she absolutely loves it... she does her cross stitching every day and makes all kinds of different things... every few weeks I would have to bring her to one of the local hobby shops so she can pick out different colors for the project she was working on and sometimes they didn't have the colors she was looking for...I didn't mind bringing her at all but the amount of time involved looking for the colors she needed was a little overwhelming...I purchased this assortment for her and now we are both happy 😂It contains every color imaginable and there's plenty of each color... she absolutely loves it

Better deal than I thought
Previously, I wrote a review that said that these colors were NOT DMC colors. I was wrong, and I apologize. The seller contacted me and told me that there are two numbers on the the wrapper of each skein. One, the larger, is QC's own number, and the other, underneath, in very small print, is the DMC number equivalent. All I had to do was but on the 3X reading glasses, and, by golly, they were right. I will be busy for at least the next week winding the skeins onto bobbins, but, at last, I no longer have to make a trip to Joann's ® every time I start a new pattern. I now have the complete collection of cotton colors. Now, to start on buying silks, varigateds, and metallics. I will be ordering from this supplier again.*HINT*If you buy this item, buy the Darice® floss bobbins to go with. You get 1,000 plastic bobbins to organize your threads into organizer boxes. When you order the bobbins, don't forget to order a Sharpie® laundry marker so that you can write the color numbers no the bobbin. It is the only kind of pen I have found that works for this purpose.

Good deal!
Great range of colors and this is A LOT of threads. I’m an artist and need a whole range of colors with their tints, tones, and shades. While this may not provide the whole palette that a painter could dream of, it’s decent for an art project. There will be some hues I would never use, but this is a great deal. I would have had to pay a lot more just to get the hues I wanted after discount from the lovely local big box craft store (we all know what those are). With this, I could fill dead space with neutrals and get more vibrant hues separately as needed per project.
