It goes on easier on horizonal surfaces then vertical. the result is the same just a slower process. **Q: can this be applied to previously stain wood?** A: I don’t think it will dry properly. We tried it and couldn’t get it to dry ever…had to scrape it off the wood surface **Q: Is this compatible with teak wood?** A: Teak oil would be better for teak, it is an oily wood, To be honest not sure if waterlox would work. Teak is a good outdoor wood when it’s kept oiled. Waterlox sealer may not hold up out doors.
