A crazy good knife for such a small package. Much easier to open and close one handed than Ladybug.
Though I still really like the Ladybug for it's thiner blade. This Wharncliffe blade style is the cat's pajamas . . . very useful. The fuller / thicker handle on this Manbug some how is just enough to allow one handed opening to be no big deal where as, with my medium male hands the Ladybug takes focus and concentration to open one handed. UPDATE: 3-10-22 Recently I bought the normal blade shape Manbug in K390 steel (a great, long wearing super steel) but I find the normal shape clip point blade to be harder to open one handed, ?due to the slight change in the placement of the thumb hole?, so I still prefer the Wharncliffe Manbug and look forward to getting one in K390. I follow the Spyderco Forum daily; realistically that version could be a year or more away so enjoy which ever or both versions that are available NOW ! Too good a knife to put off. To the naysayers that (misguidedly) complain this is "just" a cheep plastic knife I say : Yes and a modern Ferrari, with similar composite components (carbon fiber is very similar to FRN) is "just" a cheep plastic automobile. I just stumbled across this quote in the Spyderco knife forum later today and had to come back add it here : QUOTE : I have posted this before, but in my many years here the only broken FRN handle that I can recall being posted was a Salt 1 that was run over by a Bobcat [earth moving machine] while the blade was stuck into the ground. QUOTE ENDS. UPDATE ENDS. Not much more to say ; worth the money ; good stuff ! ! !

Great pocket knife
Super cool little pocket knife. Very sharp out of box. Bought one for myself and for my submarine sailor son. Made in Japan. If you like cool, understated Japanese stuff, this is for you. Blade steel made in region - Seki, Japan - traditionally known for making samurai swords. Enough said.

Great steel
Very nice tiny knife, if you have very small hands, you will really like this knife. I really like xhp steel, one of best steels you can buy, xhp likes a nice polished finish. Most steels prefer a 600 grit finish.

Nice
It was a gift to my boyfriend. It's smaller than I anticipated, but he loves bc you can put it on your keys.

Much smaller than I thought but nice
Very small (could fit 6 of these in my tiny jean pocket) but its been very handy for work and you forget you have it. (Will probably look for a slightly bigger size knife bc this one is hard to fish out of pocket at times.

It’s Spyderco
I already own and use Spyderco knives. My favorite everyday carry is a ladybug in ZDP189 full flat ground blade. I wanted to see if the “Manbug” would work with my coin pocket in my jeans just as well. It does and I like the shape of this blade better. It weighs about .2 ounces more than the ladybug somewhere about 7/10’s of an ounce total without lanyard. It is slightly wider in the handle and operates just like the ladybug. If you like deep pocket carry or need a small knife for daily tasks this works exactly as you would expect. If you’re looking for a tacticool survival knife look elsewhere. Fit and finish was perfect and it came sharp as all my Spyderco knives have. It was exactly what I was looking for a slightly larger version of the ladybug with a wharncliff blade.

Best Keychain Knife
I’ve had two manbugs before this, both with the standard blade, and both confiscated by security ‘cause I was dumb and forgot to take it off my keychain (incidentally, a testament to how this knife disappears in your pocket). So, now I’m on my third and got this fancy wharcliff blade (or whatever it’s called) as some folks said in this size knife and for its intended purpose this is the best fit. I haven’t used it extensively enough to know for sure, but I do believe I like this blade style better over the other two. It’s certainly better at opening boxes and the like, which is probably 80-90% what I did with the other ones. Spyderco FTW

Don’t carry it on your keys!
Dont carry this knife on your keys, carry it in your fifth pocket of your jeans! With the right gestures, you can flick this knife open like the bigger Spydercos, (including the Spydieflick and the pinky flick!) it’s small, but cuts like a big knife! If you’re into traditional, lockback knives, definitely give the ManBug (and the LadyBug) a try! It’s fantastic, I really love it!

Couteau de poche Qualité +++
