Always healthy.
I've now purchased several plants of various varieties at different times (not going to comment on each an every one) so I'll just say that each and every plant I've received have been in excellent condition. The older ones are still healthy and I'm sure the newer ones with thrive as well. The seller takes care to package them in thermal material and shipping is fast (and mostly free). Only downside is that although the listings say a care guide will be included, I've yet to receive a single one. Doesn't matter. They're doing well even without instructions.

Leave were trimmed... otherwise great plant
Every single leaf had been cut across. I’m guessing this was done to make it fit earlier in packaging. However the plants seem to be thriving and a week after planting in seeing new growth.

They lived!
When i got these they looked like they were dying so i was disappointed but i still put them in my tank, its been two weeks since then and they are green now and growing. And just 3-4 days ago i see new ones growing around the three that i bought! Would definitely recommend, they make your aquarium look beautiful. I have a 5.5 gallon aquarium for a black orchid beta and about 4 shrimp.

Hundreds of snails hatched from eggs hidden on the plant - and for no additional cost ;-)
I was very disappointed in what I received after paying $11 each for these "Live Aquarium Plants". What I was sent are cuttings without any roots whatsoever. These plants reproduce from their roots rather than cuttings, so I have no expectation of them living. Unlike many other plants that do propagate easily from cuttings, cut leaves from eelgrass normally turn brown and die after a few days. I don't want be cleaning a mess of dead leaves out my fish tank in week, so I've put them in a tank with sand, water, and a fertilizer tab to give them a chance rather than just throwing them out now. What is exceptionally disappointing, is that eelgrass is one of the easiest aquarium plants to grow, so it's normally a very inexpensive plant to buy. I paid extra for this Spiralis variety from this seller because it has the extra attraction of the small spiraled tendrils in addition to its normal leaves. Normally the biggest drawback of Vallisneria is that it grows too fast. I've not kept this plant in my aquariums for some time because it can quickly overrun small tanks. It not only spreads rapidly by its roots (if these plants had any), but the leaves can quickly grow 2 feet long.I had set up a new large tank and ordered these plants to produce a profuse growth. Instead of the lush plants they show in their pictures, I got 6 inch cuttings. If by some miracle they do survive and grow roots, I will amend this post. Even if lots of TLC allows them to survive, it is a rip off to sell plants that they know will most likely die no matter what the buyer does.I've been keeping planted fish tanks for over 40 years. This is the rip off that I expect from big box pet stores selling mondo grass (which belongs under trees in your yard rather than your aquarium) and pretends that it's freshwater eelgrass. This seller makes a point of enclosing a notice that the plant will arrive green, but they make not promise of it living after it arrives.UPDATE after 3 weeks:Most of the plant's original leaves died and fell off during the past 3 weeks. It did eventually begin to grow some new roots and leaves, which was the good news. I am very glad that I put the tank into a separate 10 gallon quarantine tank and not in one of my 55 gallon tanks with fish or shrimp. Besides the mess the dying leaves would have made, which was my concern initially, this quarantine tank is now infested with hundreds of tiny snails.I realize that some people like snails in their tanks, but I don't. There are treatments that are supposed to kill the snails and their eggs on a plant so that you can then safely put it into your tank, but I've decided that I don't want to take the risk with one of my main tanks. Copper treatments will kill the snails, but I wanted the plant for a breeding tank of Red Cherry Shrimp, to which copper is also deadly toxic. This plant and its snails are going on my compost heap this afternoon.Since this plant was such a disappointment when it arrived, I had ordered an Aponogeton Ulvaceus Bulb from another Amazon vendor to use instead. After only 12 days, the has bulb produced lots of new leaves and should have been my first choice rather than this Vallisneria.

Looks like it's dying
The leaves were yellowing and weren't as strong. We will see if they grow but I could have gotten a healthier batch

Looks good
I ordered one of these on Saturday, paid for expedited shipping and planted it on Wednesday. Some yellowing of the leaves, which is to be expected given it's January in Ohio and I expect some melt, as Vals do not like being transplanted, but the root structure looks great. I ordered one plant and they sent two, and one had 4 plantlets already starting.
