Using this knife makes it clear that Victorinox knows its folding knives. It may not look like much, but the folding mechanism is exceptionally solid, with a secure locking mechanism. It's easy to carry around and won't open accidentally in your pocket. The rounded tip also makes it safer to use as a dining knife, unlike a conventional folding knife. Combined with a good spork, it provides a set of eating utensils suitable for practically any meal. I use mine every day, switching between the roles of table knife, bread knife and fruit knife, as well as using it to slice thin pieces of salami. Cutting a bread roll in half with a disposable wooden knife is practically impossible, but this knife makes a clean cut effortlessly. It's also sharp enough to cut through an inexpensive steak cooked on a simple outdoor grill — something disposable cutlery simply can't handle. It may seem expensive compared with some imitations and copies, but my advice is to choose Victorinox. Mine has neither lost its sharpness nor developed any play in the mechanism, despite several years of near-daily use. Con piacere condivido il mio parere su uno dei migliori prodotti, se si tratta di tagliare. Adottati da molti anni nella versione con manico non ripiegabile, inizialmente per cucina, poi usati per tutto, per la tavola ma anche e soprattutto per cucinare, e per il bricolage, fanno quel che devono, tagliare. E lo fanno davvero bene, ed è meglio non distrarsi per non ferirsi. Leggeri, di facile pulizia, affilatissimi malgrado la seghettatura che però è particolare, un misto di filo continuo ed ondulato che dura moltissimo. Ho anche provato a riaffilarli, ma proprio per il tipo di filo non è semplice, ma qualcosa si riesce a fare con un tondino diamantato. In cucina è il coltello principale, con cui fare praticamente tutto. Ora proverò questo con manico pieghevole, per sostituire quello cui avevo costruito un fodero per la lama per portarlo in gita. Sembra molto ben fatto, la lama si blocca con una lamina in linea ed il perno sembra robusto. La lama è la stessa, inossidabile. Gli altri non hanno mai fatto ruggine, anche se lasciati in ammollo. Mi aspetto le stesse prestazioni da questo, con la praticità del manico pieghevole. Ottimo per mangiare qualcosa, per le altre necessità dell'escursionismo ci sono altri prodotti, con lama più spessa. Consigliatissimo.
