Overdrive Expansion Track Launch Kit

The Screams of Joy are what I could here for about an hour as my son and boys played with this expansion. They literally bought it the day after setting up the Anki Overdrive track - which is an amazing track in and of itself. If my husband likes something he will buy everything that will make it more fun. This definitely did the trick - along with other expansion sets. This is really pretty cool and it takes fun to a whole new level! Totally worth every penny!

We bought this for my nephew for Christmas and it has been absolute blast! The jump is so much fun and it is so easy to assemble and add to his basic set. It hooks in so easily and it is so much to play with! Definitely a great present for both the old and young!

Great fun toy that's a step up from the old plastic track with the trigger joystick. It can be played on your own or with 3 other people provided they all have the free app and a car to sync to. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes while racing the cars may drive off the track or randomly start to spin out and drive in the opposite direction with no contact. We clean the tracks and the cars before each race and it still could occur.

Additional to the Starter kit If like me your kids are now immersing themselves in Ipads and computer games which is creating an insular environment... I highly recommend getting the Anki Overdrive system. When I got the starter kit my son (9) was less than enthusiastic.. however after realising that he can race against family, computer and match himself against challenges he has become more and more interested. Unlike the ipad where there is NO interaction with other humans I've found this to be a great medium giving him the "Tech" that he wants balancing with a healthy bit of fun with family and friends. he has now begun encouraging his friends to play so that he can have matches... perhaps we'll set up a league.

This jump expansion is amazing! I am in awe of how well it works with the cars. They do tend to bounce off the track after landing but this constant problem is solved by simply adding the guardrail expansion. I highly recommend getting them together.

Whole setup is super small and not worth the price. Also use caution because they will refuse to accept a return so you will be stuck with useless track parts .

As far as bits of expansion track go, its a piece of expansion track. Watching the cars and trucks fly over the gap isn't terribly impressive until you think about how the car has to recognise which bit of track its on, then speed up enough to make it cleanly over the jump. Its super entertaining to watch though. I recommend this as an additional piece of kit for the Anki Overdrive set set.

This jump kit works well and adds another level of fun to the game. Especially when you can blast your opponent just before the jump, causing them to fall. A tip to a successful landing is to not place a turn after the landing section. Install a straight track piece so the cars can correct their line before going into the next turn. Or else you’ll spend a lot of time placing the cars back on the track.

My kids love this stuff and this leap certainly adds some excitement to their set up. The a.i. cars speed up on the approach strip and fly over the jump. Delights my kids every time.

It is what it is, if you have the Anki track system it works fine. Just keep in mind, the trucks or bigger vehicles can't do the jump.
