ICON RV Skylight - SL1414W - White

Icon makes the best quality skylights. They are sturdy and hold up well to the elements. Highly recommend this product as an upgrade over stock products. Mounting flange is slightly bigger but its easy to work with.

Worked well with no leaks, flexible and forgiving to install. Just love the amount of light the white color lets in we don't even have to turn on the light !

Fit fine but was actually a lil smaller then the one that came on my Lakota horse trailer but did the job.

Removal of the caulking and old Skylight is harder than installing the new Skylight. Be careful and don't cut the rubber roof when replacing. Seems pretty solid and of good quality.

I installed this skylight in our Lance camper that had an air conditioner in the roof. That massive device caused the camper interior to be dark and we never used the air since we do not camp in areas with utilities. This skylight did exactly what I had hoped. We now have bright, diffused daylight inside the camper and about 100lbs in dead weight off the roof.The skylight does not come with any sealant or screws (17 are needed) so you need to get those. I purchased a kit with plenty of screws and butyl sealing tape for the rubber roof, that's about another $10. It was fairly straight forward to install with the tape into the 14" x 14" opening, the hard part of course was removing the air conditioner and cleaning the roof. I was concerned that it might be easy to crack the skylight if the screws were not done exactly right, but it is more flexible than you would think. The skylight is thick plastic and should last a few years. The product I would rate at 5 stars but paying $83 for a stamped piece of plastic is a high price and I took off one star for the cost (especially since you have to spend additional for tape and screws). And this is just the external piece, if you want the inside trimmed up then you will have to buy an inner garnish.Still the result is worth it to me.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. Worked perfect to replace the sky light on my horse trailer.

I used this item to replace an impossible to find direct replacement for a second floor bathroom skylight in our home. It was the correct dimensions to use the old framing, although I had to make a bracket to hold it down out of galvanized flashing. I took a lot of care and used a lot of weatherproof silicone caulk so I hope it lasts another 35 years like the first one did.
