I have been keeping my 2009 GT Expert Road Bike with a Shimano Ultegra 6600 Drive Train going for a long time now. I ride 20 miles a day (weather permitting). I have had to replace most of the common maintenance items. The bottom bracket has lasted a good 10 years now, but it finally went out. I noticed the crank arm was loose when pedaling. Confirmed upon removal, one of the bearings was dried out. It was a actually very easy job. I pushed out the old bearings with a socket and extension. Then I pressed fit them in with this inexpensive tool I bought here at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFCXG7HX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Anyway, I thought I'd share what little info I have regarding this item and what the specs of the actual product I received are. The questions & answers section makes this VERY confusing. Some say it is for a Mountain Bike and others say a Road bike. The BB-92A is the mountain bike and the BB-92B is the road bike. Since they are both 24mm crank diameter, they can be exchanged if you have the old tube. The SM-BB92-41B is for an 86mm frame width ROAD BIKE. (I previously used the SM-BB91-41B so I know it also works the same and is probably it's predecessor.) ACTUAL SPECS 24mm diameter where the crank pushes in. 41mm frame hole diameter 86mm frame width pedal to pedal I took pics of my old one with a digital caliper just to show what is being measured. Hopefully it helps someone who was as confused with listing as I was.
