SuperSelf Organic Matcha Powder – smooth, clean, and great quality
Dissolves easily, tastes clean, and has that bright green colour you expect from proper ceremonial matcha. Great for lattes or straight tea, no bitterness and mixes without clumps. Pros: ✅ Energy level: gives a clean, steady boost without jitters ✅ Appearance: vibrant green, looks premium ✅ Texture: dissolves smoothly in hot or cold liquids ✅ Calming effect: noticeable focus + calm combo ✅ Health benefits: antioxidant-rich, great daily addition ✅ Value for money: high-quality matcha at a fair price Cons: ❌ Tin size is small, you may run out faster if you drink matcha daily

Great taste, value and authentic.
Excellent 👍 I’ve purchased this before a while ago, but couldn’t source until now. The best tasting matcha I’ve purchased so far. Lasts ages, and tastes great. Others I’ve bought have looked like pond sludge. and tasted like it too. This one tastes slightly sweet, super clean and makes a fabulous oat latte. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, great value and delicious. 👍

Not so ceremonial
Superself Organic Matcha is marketed as a premium green tea powder, promising numerous health benefits. However, the matcha has a mid tone green colour and an earthy aroma, which is often indicative of non ceremonial quality. This may be because it is produced in China and not Japan. The flavour is relatively smooth, with a slight earthiness. After trying Superself Organic Matcha, I encountered significant stomach burning. This reaction was unexpected, as I typically enjoy matcha without adverse effects. The tannins in matcha can sometimes irritate the stomach, especially when consumed on an empty stomach. Unfortunately, this was my experience with this brand. Superself Organic Matcha may appeal to those seeking a fair quality matcha experience. Although it may not be suitable for everyone. If you have a sensitive stomach, it might be best to consume it alongside food to mitigate potential side effects. However the customer service was very kind and responded quickly. I will try it again in the future

Good Price and quality
It's perfect, I love it's texture and the smell. Not harsh, very perfect for matcha lovers. It lasted for almost 5 months, I drink matcha latte, 3 to 4 times in a week. Will continue buying it.

Reimbursed
I found the Matcha powder very bitter tasting and said so in my review. The company’s response was to reimburse me, I’m very impressed with that.

Tastes ok but didn't find it too different to tge normal organic ones
This is my first time having the ceremonial type. Till now I had the organic or bio ones. Can't really tell a difference other than the price. I only use a small amount as it becomes too bitter if I use too much so I guess it's good as it will last a long time. I blend it with a small wisk and it disolves very well and easy but it needs some stirring occasionaly as it settles to the bottom . The smell is a bit like a fish pond as my husband describes it but I don't find it bad. The white bits from my picture are from my coconut milk, as I discovered this is the version I like the best, brings sweetness to my latte without adding sweetener I does make me a bit more allert or agitated and I need to drink it in the morning because if I have it too late in the afternoon I struggle to fall asleep, so I guess I could say it gives more energy. Overall it is ok, tastes ok but I wouldn't buy it again, I would give other brands a go...

Matcha
Edit to add: I now drink hot lattes using this and I have succumbed to the taste and I drink it every day. It definitely helps settle my stomach :) I ordered the 50g as it was my first time trying this, it comes in a sealed bag/packet inside a small tin with screw off lid. I transferred mine from packet to tin easily enough but this can be tricky for some. I have nothing to compare it to, I just wanted to try Matcha and the health benefits are a bonus! I’ve tried it twice now - hot which wasn’t great and cold which was better IMO. I dissolved 1tsp matcha in a small amount of hot water (15-20ml) along with 1tsp brown sugar and blitzed that using my handheld frother, which seemed to help smooth out the texture, I then poured that mixture over ice and topped with Batista oat milk. The tea flavour really comes through for me and although I’m not used to drinking cold tea it’s not bad at all. I would happily drink this daily, And the green colour is an added quirk 🤗 I think it smells a bit like seaweed though 🤷♀️ My partner tried the hot milk version and didn’t like it, said it tastes like fish 🤣🤣 It seems to be good quality but I’m not clued up on matcha - so far so good. I would order again 🙂

Legit Matcha
Finally a Ceremonial grade matcha that is not only real but good priced and quality, I might of taken a star off because I tried to order 2 one is for a gift and its limited to 1pc lol I can see why its good price and its the real stuff, not like so many fake brands on the market, I may have had better matcha some years back but the difference in taste between that and this is almost negligible I really couldn't tell the difference between this one and a better one, but I can tell the difference between a bad matcha and a good matcha and this one is the good one decent price decent size 50g well worth it. Hope the company can keep this up for years in the future as I will definitely return if this price stays the same was only 8-9 quid for 50g I'm impressed its also sweeter that means its animo content of L-Theanine the richer this amino is in the matcha the sweeter it is and ceremonial grade is always high in this amino thus why I know this is the real stuff. If its not you didn't get the right batch or a bad batch, I tested this out with another brand that stated it was ceremonial grade but it wasn't that other stuff made me vomit dizziness and the feeling of nausea if you get these symptoms it means the matcha was a bad batch will taste really bitter may or may not look dull green, usually its brighter vibrant green that makes the best matcha and it should smell fresh like a forest, remember ceremonial grade will always be sweet/ little bitter taste and some even sweeter. Learn the 4 signs if its good matcha, usually its this to tell if its a good batch. 1: The colour is Vibrant bright Green not a dull green or dark green colour 2: It doesn't make you want to spit it out vomit dizziness or the feeling of nausea feeling sick. 3: It should be on the sweeter side mellow and soft subtle sweetness that doesn't make you want to spit it out 4: Check the smell as well it should smell fresh like a fresh green leaf in a dense fresh forest its that kinda nature fresh type smell. If it passes these tests then its definitely a good batch, but only Ceremonial grade is the sweeter one. I learned this all from research online and buying many different brand of matcha. Culinary matcha will always come in larger quantities for cooking but will most likely also be very bitter, it may or may not make you want to vomit but that vomit feeling most likely due to being a bad batch. EDIT: sometimes it's pesticides that can or rather will cause a bad batch, China usually use Pesticides so the best matcha is from Japan.
