I won't give away the page number but during the first 1/3 of the book, I took a wild guess as to who I thought was the murderer and then I added another one to the list shortly after that and it turns out that I was right. I loved how I kept getting pulled in different directions as to who it was. It was one of the first two that I thought all along but then there were twists towards the end that led me into another direction until the very last part where it was revealed who it was and I was right all along. It was just a lucky guess and I thought I had spoiled it for myself but the twist and turns had me second guessing the whole time. Highly recommend this book especially if you've read a lot of suspense/thrillers. This one will leave you guessing the entire time. A few quotes to save for later. Great Read!!
Alice Feeney weaves the narrative through the alternating voices of Anna, a BBC journalist sent back to her hometown to report on a womanโs murder, and Jack, the DCI leading the investigation. As the case unfolds, both of them drift from observers to possible suspects. Someone is hiding the truth. Someone is manipulating the story. And the reader is left constantly questioning who can be trusted. I was completely hooked from the first page and couldnโt stop reading. The tension is relentless, the pacing razor-sharp, and the twists land with precision. Feeney excels at writing layered, complicated women, and Annaโflawed, guarded, and openly unreliableโwas impossible not to root for. The addition of a third, anonymous, genderless narrator was a bold move that amplified the suspense and kept me second-guessing everything. I searched for clues, formed theories, abandoned them, and formed new ones, only to be wrong again and again. What makes this story even more compelling is the personal history between the two main narrators: one reports on the crime, the other investigates itโand they used to be married. Their emotional baggage, secrets, and conflicting versions of the past add depth and intensity to every chapter. Surprisingly, I found myself just as invested in Jackโs perspective as Annaโs; he is complex, morally gray, and fascinating to unravel. The plot is tightly constructed, the reveals perfectly timed, and the conclusion immensely satisfying. Every thread is woven together with care, making the final payoff feel earned and unforgettable. His & Hers is a gripping, intelligent, and emotionally charged thriller that lingers long after the last page.

A Twist I Never Saw Coming
Just when I thought I had the entire storyline figured out, this book completely flipped the script. Every time I felt confident about where things were headed, another twist proved me wrong. The suspense was consistent and well-paced, keeping me engaged from start to finish. The tension builds in a way that makes it hard to put the book down, and the ending was genuinely unexpectedโI never would have guessed it would wrap up the way it did. Overall, this was a really good read that kept me thinking even after I finished the last page. Now Iโm definitely curious (and excited) to watch the show and see how it compares to the book, especially knowing how unpredictable the story turned out to be.

Book was awesome, kept me intrigued all the way through and the twist is really good..... I almost didn't see it coming. Almost. It is really hard to shock me so this was pretty good.

Fast-paced, twisty thriller
This is a dark and twisty thriller that keeps you guessing the entire time youโre reading it. There are two sides to every story, and this book shows that his and hers are entirely different. He is a police detective and she is a reporter who are both working on the same crime, and both of them have things they are hiding. This is one of those books where literally every character has the potential to be the killer, but what I liked about it was that even though both the FMC and MMC were shady as hell, I connected with them and was rooting for them. Told in a dual timeline, it flips back between the present where a series of murders is taking place, to the past, where you realize that the victims were more connected than you thought they were. Short chapters make this a very fast read, and the tension as the plot unfolded was perfect. There are pages scattered throughout told from the killerโs POV, making it interesting to try and figure out who it is. Overall, this is a well executed, bingeable who done it that I finished in one sitting.

His side, her side and the shocking truth!
I saw the Netflix series and had to read the book. Both were really good! There are some small differences but the outcome was the same. His & Hers is a smart, psychological thriller full of well developed characters, an engrossing plot and surprising twists and turns. The setting is a small town. Women are being killed. A divorced couple is connected in some way to each of the victims. The ex-wife is a news reader and the ex-husband is a detective. When the evidence starts to make them both look suspicious they will question how well they know each other. Is one of them a killer or the next victim? A friend said this book should come with a trigger warning. Be prepared for mean girl drama, elements of grooming, physical intimacy, abuse and violence. The book is well written and easy to read. The story is told via 3 possible POVs. His & Hers has secrets, lies, betrayal, revenge and complicated relationships. The ending makes this story unforgettable.

a masterpiece
Just like the adage says, there are always two sides to any story, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Alice Feeney tells the story through Jack's and Anna's POVs. Anna is a BBC news reporter who reluctantly covers the suspicious murder of a woman in her hometown. Jack is the DCI in charge of the case. And, at some point, both will become suspects. Someone is lying. Someone knows more than they are letting on. But who is it? I couldn't put this book down until I have finished it. It was fast-paced, enthralling, thrilling, tense, and satisfying. Alice Feeney is a master of creating multidimensional, exciting, and fleshed-out women. Anna was no different; even as an unreliable narrator, I was rooting for her! I also loved the third, genderless perspective; it added soooo much tension! I unsuccessfully looked for clues to try to guess who it could be, and Feeney kept me thinking and flip-flopping all the way through. Having this third narrator was a gamble that paid off. Feeney's plot was tight and executed to perfection. The way she tied everything in was one of the most satisfying ends I have read in a long time! His & Hers is a book to own and read many times over! I LOVED this book so much! It is my favourite Alice Feeney so far. We have two narrators who are potential suspects, one of them is covering the news of the case, the other is investigating it! Wait, there's more - they used to be married! I loved reading from the perspective of Anna - she is far from perfect and doesn't hide it. It's so empowering to see a woman who owns who she is. Believe it or not, I have also loved reading from Jack's perspective. He was a complex and nuanced character. You know an author wrote a masterpiece when you care for both unreliable narrators and hope that somehow they both get a happy ending! All the twists came at organic times, the flow of the narrative was seamless, and all three narrations were enticing and distinguishable! His & Hers is a masterpiece!

Psych thriller at its core
This book was amazing. The dual POV first person chapters with the addition of the cryptic killer chapters were well executed. The story played out extremely well, with character relationships and personal story-telling explored to great depth. As always, the twists didn't stop coming as the spider Web untangled and all of the puzzle pieces came together. Definitely suspenseful and had a huge thriller aspect with some chilling moments.
