Stranded Wire Jumpers
Never seem to have enough of these if you're a DYI person or you just need to extend a connection briefly. These are pretty decent for the money. The wires at least a foot or more, (more). The alligator clips are a real strong point, depends how you look at it. The springs in these gators are rigid, very rigid. I can't even recall when I've had any alligator clips that have this much tension & thus grip. Obviously these Jumpers are not for use with anything that pulls any real current, so if your planning anything more significant, buy a higher gauge jumper set. I tested all the sets for continuity and they all passed. I only mention that as the wire to clip is only clamped, not soldered, i'll probably hit them with solder per job, if im soldering @ the time. I'm not sure about the plastic boots yet, except they do what they should, stop an accidental short to something close to you're work area. That's good, but the springs are so strong and the boots, so slick, it's difficult to pinch to attach without pulling back the boot, then putting it back. A Small pair of needle nose pliers is advised, but not needed. Once the clips on, it's got plenty of grip, they'll most likely be as difficult to remove as to attach. (Needle nose) pliers or any small pliers work and makes set up & break down, effortless. Definitely recommend these for light jump & testing. They do what there designed to do, and if you do Over Amp them, there cheap enough to discard & replace. Keep the gator clips if you do melt the wires, they'll make great accessories for small soldering project. I'm surprised McGyver didn't have these in his pocket with the Swiss army knife & the duct tape. I'm just say'in...saying.... Blackroadster1

Economical, but come with fixable flaws ("DIY alligator clips")
These alligator clips work; they have a strong grip. But as other revieweres have mentioned, the rubber boot is slippery. I tried to flush them with rubbing alcohol, but that made no difference, so there's no silicone/oil on their surface, it's just types of surface materials. However, lightly sanding the alligator clip's outer surface made a big difference: no more slipping! Also, as has been mentioned, the leads are crimped and not soldered, which is not great. However, this is easy to fix if you can hold a soldering iron. So, you get decent quality alligator clips, but need to spend an hour making them usable (sanding + soldering).

Usage of jumper
Not the best japanese jumpers I have ever owned. Plastic shield slips and makes it very hard to open the claw.

Falsified specifications. STAY AWAY!
These are not 22 awg wire, and they are not securely connected. The wire is 10 strands of 38-gauge (0.004") wire. That works out to 28 gauge wire. Assembly is weak. The thin core was folded over and crimped under the insulation to make a weak contact (no solder) to the inside of the clip. The outer insulated sleeves were very slippery on the clips, which makes it difficult to get a good grip to open the clip. The clip keeps twisting as you are trying to open the clips. Washing the boots and clips in varnish maker and painter's naptha (VM&P naptha) gets rid of the slipperiness. The resistance of the clips and wires were about 1/2 ohm, which renders them with a high voltage drop when under even 1/2 ampere of current. Measuring the 28 gauge wire itself (without the clips), I get 0.53 ohms. For the length of the wire, that means the wires are made of iron, not copper. At least the clips were OK. I'm promptly rebuilding them with real 22 or even 18 gauge copper wire and soldered connections.
