Sort of expensive, but works great
It does what it’s supposed to. It’s fairly easy to clean and seems to be quite durable. This seems pretty expensive for what it is and I’m worried that the mesh screening cartridge won’t be found when it eventually wears out, but for now the thing works great. I like that I clean this thing once a week instead of cleaning out clogged hoses and sprinkler lines every day.

Excellent addition to my new well water system
In Oct '22 my well pump broke and had to be replaced shortly after purchasing my new home. We took the opportunity to add some additional filtration to a sediment heavy well. The inside of most of my toilets and pipes had clearly had a significant amount of mineral and sediment for years. I added this before my water softner and its catching a not insignificant amount of sediment every week when I flush it. I have it mounted on the block of my crawl space with it plumbed into my water heater overflow valve that runs outside so I don't have to bring a bucket to flush it into. If you are going to plumb it into a drainage line however I recommend picking up the double union ball l linked at the bottom. It allows you to screw off the clear filter housing without unscrewing the ball valve everytime you need to clean it. For me I typically have to turn off the water and spray/clean the filter every month or so and the ball valve works amazing.https://www.amazon.com/ERA-True-Union-Ball-Valve/dp/B07MS8BK73?pd_rd_w=kCK9X&content-id=amzn1.sym.deffa092-2e99-4e9f-b814-0d71c40b24af&pf_rd_p=deffa092-2e99-4e9f-b814-0d71c40b24af&pf_rd_r=3F8ZT2PZZDG0QBTMC1RT&pd_rd_wg=g4Mzu&pd_rd_r=43171fb5-a68d-4c0d-830b-bd124d683b7b&pd_rd_i=B07MS8BK73&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_40_t

As advertised!
Shipped quickly & without issues/damage. Fairly easy to install with proper tools. A little pricy but it appears to be of good quality & filter is easy to clean (just unscrew plastic container, remove filter & clean filter with water or desired cleaning solution).

Fixed sprinkler valve issues
We are on a well which does pump some fine sediment. I stubbed off a separate line from the house, so we did not overuse the house filter and softener. About a week after using the new sprinkler system, the valves started leaking. I installed this Rusco spin down filter, replaced all the valve diaphragms, and no more issues. You might consider buying an extra mesh filter, for even though it flushes well, you still will need to manually clean the filter every 4-6 months. Having an extra filter to switch out is nice.

Works for light sediments
I have very sandy water. Have to empty container every day. Red valve broke after about 5 months of use. Container started to leak from the thread. Other than that it does the job.

Flawed design, but not 100% worthless
Using on well with moderate to heavy sand/silt for three years for irrigation. Design is flawed for my setup as sediment doesn't really spin down to bottom but sticks higher up and clogs filter quickly, which restricts or blocks flow. Tried to setup auto flush valve as seen in pic, but sediment doesn't flush out unless I close 2" ball valve immediately after filter. You can see in the pic I have the sediment flush valve wide open with well over 50 psi shooting out and the sediment is just stuck to the filter blocking flow. This makes the auto flush valve worthless as I have to manually intervene anyway. I do get some use out of it however, by removing the filter some of the heaviest of the sediment does spin down and get stuck on the bottom. The automatic flush valve will work in this case, but you still need to have faucet level/drip line sediment filters for the finer stuff. I would look elsewhere.
