Would not output line audio with using Firestick as input
Really like the product, but when used with a Firestick audio would not pass through the line level (RCA Jacks). When the Firestick firsts starts, you hear its startup, but when playing a movie it does not work. I did get it to work with the computer output w/HDMI.The audio did play all the time via the HDMI, just not the line level.Correction: Firestick audio was set to automatic, changed to be specific audio type and it worked perfectly. Changed to 5 Stars.

Works as it should, easy setup
This is the 3rd splitter I’ve owned, so far so good. I am using this splitter to send A signal to a projector and a soundbar using HDMI. The first first splitter I purchased (different brand) ran the audio and video okay but did not play well with my HDMI switcher which feeds a signal to it. My second splitter would have video but the audio would constantly go in and out. Both old splitters were cheaper (15-20$) I decided to spend a little more and it has been worth it. No issues at all with audio or video, also handles switching between various signal inputs. Happy with the purchase.

Worked great until it died
Product worked great for a little over a year. Had zero issues until it just died, which very well could have been my fault by accidentally plugging in a 12v power supply into this. It still looks and acts like it's working, but I've came to the realization that it doesn't after 5 days of troubleshooting in a variety of ways.Giving it 4 stars because there was no way to tell from the device that it had stopped working or that I had supplied it with too much power.

Perfect solution for adding video and sound to my project
I am a pinball modding guy. Enhancing something to make it better. In this case, modifying a Arcade 1Up Virtual Pinball machine to get better sound. This powered HDMI Splitter - Sound Separator made that possible. Other devices would NOT pass the hdmi video/audio successfully to the arcade system.I tried multiple devices. However this system powered up, provided clean video and quality sound, allowing me to get a sound output from the hdmi, and add a subwoofer system to the arcade.

Stopped working within 10 minutes. Same issue with replacement.
The splitter I received is defective. Here was my setup:iPad > adapterAdapter > HDMIHDMI > this HDMI splitterHDMI splitter > the following outputs:(1) RCA to 1/4 cable (to speaker)(2) HDMI to TV(3) HDMI to projectorIt worked perfectly fine the first 10 minutes, then suddenly stopped working. It only connected to the TV when it stopped working. There was no audio from my speakers and there was no signal to my projector. We didn't do anything to make it suddenly stop working. It just stopped connecting to the projector or speakers. No settings had been adjusted. We weren't even touching any of the connected devices.I tested multiple HDMI cables for both my projector and TV in both of the HDMI output slots. The HDMI cords and devices are not the issue. The issue is that it will only connect to one device at a time. And there is no audio output at all (besides through the built in speakers of the projector). The L/R input on this splitter simply doesn't work.We tried switching the 2CH 5. 1CH. Turning the splitter off and on. Setting it back up. Disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable. We followed the troubleshooting tips on the included manual as well as the tips provided through this Amazon listing. Nothing worked and it only connects one HDMI at a time. It's not the devices or HDMI cords or cables that are the issue. It just simply stopped working suddenly after only 10 minutes of working perfectly fine without any interference.Taking that into account, we can only assume that either (1) the splitter we received was defective, or (2) the product is poor quality.I have ordered a replacement in hopes that the issue is the former. I'll update this review pending the performance of the replacement.Edit: Same exact thing happened with the replacement. It worked one night and has now stopped working (we didn't touch it or change anything or any of the inputs/outputs. Back to the same issue where there is only one output working. I absolutely would not recommend this product.

Works with Ruku to Monitors and Speakers
Using this with my Roku player to split the HDMI out to two monitors. I have a 3 monitor for my work computer, home computers, and the Roku. When I use the Roku device, it's not always displayed on the same monitor, since I switch between using different combinations of single or dual monitors for the two computers. This means I can't use the audio out port from just one of the monitors. The audio out on this splitter let's me run the audio to a set of external 2.1 speakers. It works great and glad I purchased it.

Optical output dose not work with bose
I was going to use this with my apple TV to extract the optical output for my bose and split the HDMI to projected and TV. The HMDI splitting works fine, but the optical output dose not work. No sound in my bose.Update: I have changed by review to 5 star. I found that the issue was with the optical cable that I used. I was broken at one end. After replacing the cable. It works great with my apple TV and it sound awesome!!

Echo Studio Audio Input
I bought this to play HDMI sound being sent to my tv from my cable box using an Echo Studio. It was very easy to set up but I had to buy a toslink to 3.5mm cable and provide my own HDMI cable. On 2 channel setting the sound was okay, but a bit flat sounding from the Echo Studio. There was a slight difference in the tv and Echo Studio sound timing which made it sound like it had reverb so tv sound needs to be off unless there is a sync setting in the tv. On 5.1 setting the sound was present but not good and had crackling sounds and pops. May be setting of cable box, need to experiment with cable box audio output. Finally the Echo Studio is wired to play line in only when something is plugged in - you can’t tell Alexa to switch to the line after doing something else like playing some music. So you have to pull it out and back in to restart. This makes this set up a lot less useful but it is not the fault of Tendak.
