I ordered this ram and it appears to be a good one. Problem is the job I had programmed it for didn't work because it did not fit into the space where it could operate. Other than that It most likely will work fine for a specific task

For me this functioned properly. Product is clean and of good quality. For my application, it ended up being too small, and it turns out it will not reach it's rated capacity. This can be viewed as a good thing, as if it will not break until after it's rated capacity then you likely won't be able to break it. The problem is the small diameter of the cylinder sections. This item is recommended to use with the CP-180 hand pump, which has a capacity of 8,500 psi. This means that these cylinders will achieve: BSD-10 (10Ton) = 15,020 lbs on first 1/2" stroke; 8,077 lbs on second 1/2" stroke BSD-20 (20Ton) = 24,100 lbs on first 0.6" stroke; 8,077 lbs on second 1/2" stroke BSD-30 (30Ton) = 41,724 lbs on first 0.5" stroke; 21,630 lbs on second 0.8" stroke; 8,077 lbs on third 0.7" stroke. So you would need 21,000 psi to reach 1" of stroke if your load was the 10 Ton rated load of the BSD-10. So even tho my need was less than 10 tons and 1" - I could not move what I needed with a standard hand pump.

Bought this ram used it a couple of times, ended up blowing the gland nut out and started leaking. Contacted seller and had a reply within hrs and a new one on the way. Great service
