So, I use these with my food sealer freezer bags. Which fit much better than ziplock bags. I use these for our soups, sauces and booths that we make. I put my sealer bags in the form, fill then I fold the top over and clip with binder clips. Then I freeze them. Once frozen I take them out and food seal them. Makes storing and space saving in the freezer so much easier.

Each Thanksgiving I use the turkey carcass to make 6 quarts of gumbo. I used one-quart round freezer containers to store the soup but this creates a bit of an issue with freezer storage. I saw this product advertised somewhere and decided to give it a try. I use a wooden spoon to help insert the 1-gallon freezer bag into the Block Maker. Then I carefully pour in a quart of soup. After about 5 hours in the freezer I ease the freezer bag out of the Block Maker, remove any air and zip it up. I find that there is no need to undo the rubber bands on the Block Maker as the soup block slides right out. The only downside is that I only have one Block Maker and it takes about 2 days to complete the storage of 6 quarts of soup. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This product (especially the quart size) is a mediocre execution of a great idea. A quart freezer bag barely fits ( actually it fits but loads of wrinkles in the bag.) The frame is also too short. The liquids freeze into bricks instead of sheets like what I have made myself without a frame like this. I hot these thinking it was a better setup than my own. I was wrong. I think the frame interior space should be narrower in depth, wider, and taller, so you get a thinner sheet. It would also make thawing faster. The gallon size is somewhat better. I should send these back because they are not quite good enough.

Received this as a Christmas gift last year, and now have purchased 6 to give out as gifts this year. I love these for freezing soups and sauces. The quality of YouCopia is durable, sturdy, and worth purchasing this name brand. I accidentally purchased an off brand and returned due to the flimsy, poor quality, then made sure I purchased the YouCopia brand when I reordered. I highly recommend the YouCopia Freezer Food Block and give this a 5++ star review.

These are a amazing way to store bone broth without taking space like jars take.

Fits well in the top basket of my freezer drawer. The plastic seems to be sturdy. I was able to adjust the dividers easily before putting it in the freezer. We store silicon freezer bags with portioned meals and it is so easy to see what is what with them standing in this organizer. I like it so much I ordered a second one.
